Real Clear Politics ^ | June 2, 2007 | Ross Kaminsky

A lawsuit filed by a Northern California lesbian against dating service eHarmony represents the types of excesses of the gay movement which do so much damage to their efforts to achieve public acceptance.

According to the Reuters article linked above, eHarmony "has long rankled the gay community with its failure to offer a 'men seeking men' or 'women seeking women' option."

I suppose the idea that the owners of e-harmony may do as they please with their own website and service is out of the question.

Sounds like a website dedicated to Southern breakfast food.

That Kali lesi sure picked the wrong ‘dating’ service to sue - she might just win and then be ordered to date the results eHormony provides.

IMHO, dating predictions derived from chicken entrails ala the Roman way may give results better than eHarmony gave me. Fortunately, I tried them on a “special deal” and the assorted, sordid pack of canids they provided was worth the money. Fer laughs, Ya know?

Why tarnish their image with ads for fags? It would undermine their credibility as a serious way to meet a future husband or wife. There’s nothing sillier that two people of the same gender having sex. The fact they have this attraction is their problem. We should insist it not become our problem as much as we can. I hope eHarmony fights back with tooth and tong and sues for punitive damages and for suffering at the hand of the Gaystapo.

EWWW! There goes a perfectly good southern figure of speech. You just gave “Well, kiss my grits” another meaning.

;-(

I dont have a need for the website, but I believe its eharmony’s right for freedom of association to make it a heterosexual only dating site.

I am ticked off that the gay sites don’t offer anything for straight folks. I am going to sue all of them!

And they stole the damn rainbow! My neighbors have this nice rainbow wind thing. They are gay.

This reminds me of a funny story. A coworker of mine despite canceling her service with E-Harmony, kept getting charged for it on her credit card. She contacted the company and they asked her to send them a fax with the details and copy of the charges and they will reimburse her immediately. So she went ahead and typed the letter, gave all the details, name, user name, etc and clicked print. She was in a rush and forgot to select the proper network printer and alas, her letter printed, of all places, in the IT department. That’s right, Geekland got her letter. Least to say she was mortified. So I've been teasing her by telling her that she should not be surprised if one of our local geeks calls her, identifies himself by his E-Harmony user name and ask her out for a date. And I swear I think I hear snickering whenever she passes one of them on the hallways. :)

Next up:

Playboy sued for not having a naked male centerfold.

Burger King sued for not serving Big Macs.

Home Depot sued for not carrying fresh vegetables.

The DNC sued for not supporting Fred Thompson For President.

Planned Parenthood sued for not supporting abortion bans.

CNN sued for not linking with NAMBLA website.

This could open an interesting line of "new rights" against the Left too.

They are gay.

Let me take that back. They are "gay" but they are NOT happy. They are miserable schmucks. They leave their garbage cans out for days. They won't even look at us let alone say hello. (I don't really care, but most people on the street are friendly.) They are stupid, too. They leave their basement light on 24 hours a day, even when they aren't home.

I have another batch 2 houses down. Snotty a$$holes. Very unfriendly, too.

The trio of lesbians three houses down in the other direction used to argue and scream all hours of the day. One would gun her motorcycle in the middle of the night after a screech fest with the others. Thanks God they moved.

I don't know where they got this "gay" crap.

"eHarmony "has long rankled the gay community with its failure to offer a 'men seeking men' or 'women seeking women' option."

Why would any reputable company want to offer rubbish like that? It would only attract the wrong sort. Perversions don't serve any constructive purpose, so eHarmony would probably prefer to not deal in them. It's their call, and a good one.
