NEW YORK -- According to NewsChannel4's Jonathan Dienst, sources said federal investigators have made arrests in an alleged terror plot on Kennedy Airport.
Law enforcement officials said the plot may involved a former airport worker.
A press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. this afternoon.

There are two distinct threats. The organized terrorists are one. The other is the invasion of illegals from the south. They are two separate problems with distinctly different solutions.
Both are serious threats. Building the fence and sealing the southern border is the simplest step to take for the invasion of illegals.
While the two problems are not mutually exclusive, they are both real and both must be addressed. To assume that one must be addressed to the exclusion of the other is an error.
No, I wasn’t questioning you, just remarking that I hadn’t really noticed the presence of Indian or Paki Muslims down there. I just assumed they were Hindu, which was careless of me, since the Brits usually worked with both. One more thing to worry about.
What I like to do is to ask people what brand pitchforks they prefer as they rush by. Sometimes I ask how they keep their torches lit if the witches are already wet.
You see, it goes like this, Bush is no Reagan conservative because Reagan actually DID give out real bona-fide amnesty, and he cut-and-ran from Beirut, and appointed O’connor and Kennedy libs to the supreme court.
Whereas Bush is actually sacrificing his entire presidency to hold the line in Iraq, appointed Alito and Roberts, and has actually attempted to do something on SS and immigration problems that have been deteriorating for DECADES.
Therefore, Reagan=Ubermensch and Bush=end-of-all-things-good.
You see, illegal immigration was the quiet crazy aunt in the attic with the “conservative base” until now. And NOW it’s a major problem and Bush is the convenient weak target to pile on against.
Only if you punt the hard issues down the road are you considered a good conservative.

I think you might be right about the distraction, how long have they been investigation this, for a year and a half?
THey just now took them into custody because they were planning to travel abroad. Hence, the presser to announce their arrests and the busting up of their plot. Before they planned to leave the country for awhile, investigators were letting the plot play out as much as possible to get all the info and intel they possibly could from it. But were afraid of losing track of them abroad. I haven’t heard which countries they were going to, maybe it was said but I haven’t heard it.
I just hope they didn’t violate anyone’s rights with this surveillance!
