“Mr. President, the base is revolting!”

“You said it, they stink on ice.”

Bush can go pound sand. I supported that jerk at the protests in 2000 and then I campaigned for the SOB in 2004 only to have him turn around and call ME unpatriotic because I don’t support illegal immigration? F*** him.

Peggy Noonan is right. The GOP establishment did not learn anything from the 2006 elections.

Does anyone think Bush may pass this Amnesty Bill by Executive Order?

This is a power grab by our government. They would love 20 million uneducated people seeking handouts. I suspect the new media and efforts toward voter identification has given the cause for concern that U.S. citizens may not be buying into all their progaganda. Who knows, we might even demand they give up some of the power they usurped over the last few decades.

Then why nominate more of the same?

Immigration Profile of Sen. Fred Thompson
Served in Senate: 1994-2003

Nominate Duncan Hunter instead.

I've been saying this for seven years: the democrats and the republicans are both working together to move forward the ideas and plans of the CFR

This is just the tip of the iceberg. They want to unite Mexico, Canada and the former USA. Mitroikin walked out of the "former" Soviet Union with thousands of names and dates of KGB activity. Much of it involved media and government agents of the KGB that were imbedded here in the USA.

Litvinenko had been working with the Italian Gov't's MITROIKIN COMMISSION to uncover KGB/FSB agents in the Italian Gov't. PM Prodi was one that Litvinenko fingered. He has resigned and Litvienko was poisoned last November.

Bush is completely incompetent. I just wish that he and Cheney would walk away now while there is still a Republican Party left.

I can’t believe how Bush always says he has a “strategic plan.” He never had of a strategic plan, I don’t think he even knows what a strategic plan is, he probably heard the phrase in one of his classes at college.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

The best way to stop Shamnesty

It is hard to have to say, “No, Mr. President, it’s YOU who doesn’t want to do what’s right for America.”
But I’m getting there.

Last paragraph from the article:
Go read the whole thing. [The Peggy Noonan article in the WSJ] It explains why I am feeling the way I am feeling. Now I know I am not alone. I'm tired of this. I am NOT in favor of staying home in the fall of 2008, but I am in favor of a full scale revolt in the primaries. We need it badly!
President Bush is telling us to go screw off. I wonder if he realizes he's destroying the GOP? I wonder if he cares?

The comments from bush, graham and the rest are an insult to Americans. They are out of control. They talk like Chavez or the nutcase running Iran. What the f**k are we going to do? The idiot pres and the rest are going to insult us because we don’t fall for their lies and don’t want 10’s of millions of uneducated unAmerican foreigners flooding the country and pissing on our lawns? This is turning into uncivilized attacks from the elites. King F***ing George.

Everyone is talking about the Noonan column.

Powerline has a negative response which surprises me. It is funny how, like money and power, fame changes people. I liked them better when they were nobodies. They are still okay, but I can miss them and not care if a catch up.

Feeling really deserted here in NH.

We just got a smoking ban - supported by many "Republicans." These same "Republicans" caved to union thugs (Right to work) last year when they had the majority.

I'm stuck between furious and not giving a bleep anymore. Monday may be the day I change my registration to Independent.

>The administration doesn’t even much like the base.<

Nor does its base even much like this administration and what it is intent on doing to our sovereignty. No New World Order, Mr. P. Got that? If we conservatives no longer have a party it is because W. has relegated it to the DINOrat party. One party=total control. Total control=One World Government. One World Government= the eclipse of the U.S.A.! Are we really going to sit still and take that?

Screw Congress and their screwing laws. What good are laws when no one gives a flip?

Oh, we remember how Clinton acted like his wagging fingered lordship, cigars, bimbos and perjury married to the first harridan who lusts only for power, not him.

Now we have Amigo Bush with amnesty without animosity, whatever that's supposed to mean, flippin' his base off, Hasta La Vista, baby! spending his political capital in absolute love adoration and devoted coziness with the demoncraps and rhinos while calling his most dearly loyal and supportive base all sorts of ugly awful names, furthermore, frankly, I'm surprised he even read the 700 page plus bill.

He speaks of diversity, but nada in his own party. The bouncer kicked us out. Sayonara, er ah, adios chump gringos.

This White House thinks its base is stupid and that its heart is in the wrong place.

I disagree. They haven't had a bad thing to say about illegal immigrants.
