There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

I can't decide if you are early or late.

Sometimes it seems that there have been more outrages created through GWB that you mentioned than there was under the popular “Bill”.
What a performance by Laura on your audio clip! And to boot, it was all so true.
Very good!
I find that it helps to get away from the crazies once in a while.
There are numerous penalties for illegal immigration on the books now, for both the aliens themselves, and those who aid or employ them. So, trot out the Tony Snow spin and call it a different way of looking at things until you're blue in the face, but it's still untrue. I say YES to enforcement of the laws on the books and NO to rewarding border-jumping scofflaws.
I still think FL will stick permanently with Nelson but retire Martinez in 2010.
Now, see, this is where you messed up. They now know where you live.
(LOL)
KBH is part and parcel of the GOP establishment. In 2006, no conservative could even be found to put his name on the ballot opposite her. People in TX thing she is wonderful. Most also think she is “prolife”, and she isn’t even though she adopted two foreign children late in life.
I don’t think it’s hard for Tony to sell this amnesty because he is an establishment Republican who buys the party line.
Not really. If we manage to get some good people into power in 2008 without passing this garbage first, those people will be able to use the existing law to take action against the illegals. While it's true that nobody's taking much action against illegals now, as long as this garbage doesn't pass the possibility will remain open of that changing in future.
Once this garbage passes, however, it will be much, much harder (and in many cases impossible) to do anything about this invasion.
I am really pi$$ed at GW Bush. His daughters don't have to worry about illegals leering at them, making comments, or invading their personal space. The Secret Service guard his kids 24 / 7.
My pretty teen age daughters have story after story of these illegals harassing them - and we don't have that luxury. Like you said - the police cannot do anything until someone is either assaulted, raped or beaten.
Hey Jorge Bush - they don't even have a right to be here!
Hello? Anyone home?
Fred is an old-line Howard Baker Republican, hardly the independent that you are hoping he might be.
That’s pretty much why I toned it down (yes, the rough draft was a lot more intemperate).
“Ya know, Ive been thinkin....its gonna hurt like heck for me to have to go round apologizin to all the liberals I felt so superior to a couple of years ago. ;(”
I hear you. It’s painful to admit to my liberal friends: “You were right. George Bush IS a lousy President, and I, too want to see him impeached...”
Sigh.
Because that man Randy something got beat in AZ for the right to succeed Kolbe, Kyl is now convinced that most AZ people want amnesty.
The existing laws are just words on a piece of paper till Congress funds enforcement and that ain`t going to happen till a deal is cut. That the real world sports fans, In the mean time more will come and amnesty will continue.

Yes, and then the OH Republican primary voters were stupid enough to renominate Dewine for the Senate.
I've told them that the crooked Hillary is at least a known quantity, and McCain verges on McInsane--a crook is better than a kook. And it's not going to matter if we've surrendered to Mexico, anyway.
