There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

Wow! You said a mouthful and scored 100%. See all of it combined in one or two paragraphs hits hard.

“Can I go throw up now?”

As Laura Ingraham says, “Get me to a vomitorium!!”

Fire the messengers, rather than change the program.

They have been screwing around on this since 1994. It helped sweep in Pete Wilson as governor of California. You think they would have gotten 'er done by now...

We need to ask these arrogant F’ers if we can renounce citizenship and get a tax rebate for the last 5 years!

I love Laura Ingraham. Her show is great, and everything she says seems to have a smile in it.

This is being posted at radio stations now.

Tracey Schmitt, the one in this article, is obviously attempting to discredit our efforts to defeat this amnesty bill.

Give her a call at 202-863-8614 and tell her why the amnesty loving Republican party is losing money!

"I signed in....it won’t let me post about Amnesty....go figure"

They really don't get it. Under Immigration Reform one of the headdings said "President’s Immigration Plan Hit Right Notes"

“it’s my grandchildren and great-grandchildren I worry about. Are they going to be shoved aside by these invaders?”

They’ll get to choose between a burqua or a sombrero. America as we know it is gone, unless a whole slew of people have a come-to-Jesus moment at the same time. (Literally.)

Right now the house of the GOP needs some serious remodeling, but not a wrecking ball. I’m not a republican, and have never donated a penny to them, but those of you who are, shouldn't destroy the party. It’s just time for some serious house cleaning, and I mean SERIOUS house cleaning.

My money might accidentally go to Olympia Snowe, John McCain or Mike Huckabee.

The millions of buck$ that flow thru the RNC....and they can't maintain a decent phone system???

I'm reminded of a radio ad for the SBC Yellow Pages. A businessman returns his phone to the place he bought it saying it's defective: it doesn't ring. The salesperson says the phone is fine, and demonstrates by putting it next to the SBC Yellow Pages. Voila--the phone rings. Per the ad, "If your phone isn't ringing, maybe your phone book is broken."

Thanks for the reply. It puts it into a different light than I was seeing in my naive little mind.
The tax dollars that 12-20 million more people will generate are also crucial with all the SS reform needed.

They (phone solicitor) really made me mad, mad, mad the other day ... got a solicitation call for funds. I explained that my husband is undergoing chemotherapy/radiation for esophageal cancer and that we did not have the extra funds to assist but thank you for calling. The guy would not let it go ... generally solicitors extend they wishes for a speedy recovery and hang up but this guy insisted that if we can make a donation of 75 maybe we could make one of 50, I said no, he went to 25, I said no we are not interested in contributing and then finally he asked for 10 and I said remove us from the call list and hung up.

I had a similar issue. Before I actually spend some time and do some research and find out, do the fundraisers for the GOP actually work for the GOP as volunteers or paid workers for the GOP? Or are they third party fundraisers who get paid on commission? Does the GOP outsource their fundraising?

That’s why we have to make Democrats understand how much they lose on this too. This is an American issue; the very survival of America is at stake; them included.

Actually, RINOS depend upon Democrat vote fraud and other related phenomena more than do left-wing Democrats. Were it not for such factors pulling the apparent political center leftward, conservatives would vote for conservative Republicans while liberals would vote for Democrats. Nobody would vote for RINOs.

Vaudine, you should only give your number to a guy that really likes you. I gave my number to a woman that really liked me and she had sordid ideas she likes. I ran away fast and blocked her.

“Perhaps you would find the “Day in Life of President Bush” thread more to your liking.”

Isn’t that thread an embarrassment to FR? The girls post a few comments about how hot they get to see photos of W in his tight jeans — then I guess they go back to playing with their Barbie dolls and listen to David Cassidy records. It’s just ikky.
