There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

KEWL ;)
George, WE THE PEOPLE decide who comes into our country, not foriegn governments or illegal aliens.
What’s really disturbing is that 1-800-882-2005 number that’ll get you directly to your Senators’ offices - the one they claim to know nothing about.
If they don’t know who has access to their communications networks and foreign entities can easily gain access to their systems, they can just as easily disrupt all communications.
I’m suspecting we’ve a bunch of incompetent social rejects in the United States’ excuse of Government.
Like I said....I b an Okie...but I's not stoopid.
Like I said, neverhillorat, this is a common theme among Republicans right now: Play Not To Lose. To me, this issue is important enough to Play To Win.
I figure if we lose this illegal immigration battle, all other battles are lost - just by the demographics.
“Im trying to figure this out. RNC donations are down, but they fire the phone solicitors. But the official reason is the phone system is too expensive. Its like watching a klown kollege.”
Great observation. That ought to be a Leno joke tonight.
I agree with your premise, however, I’ll bet a lot of rats thought they had safe seats in 1994 too.
Now, that’s a plan - at least SHE can recognize “overwhelming odds”.
tagline change
My latest line is simply:
“I simply can’t talk now, I’m right in the middle of something.”
And it’s been so busy that it’s been true. I hate it when that explanation isn’t immediately met with an ended phone call.
The truth is that I NEVER give money to anyone who contacts me whether by phone, email, etc.
It is too bad those employees had to lose their jobs. I hope they find new jobs soon.
I too sent them a Bush Peso a year ago stapled to my donation letter, using the postage paid return envelope they provided. The envelope did fit nicely into the envelope BTW.
I also got a call from an RNC solicitor, letting the lady know in no uncertain terms I would not be donating any more money to the RNC as long as they supported amnesty!
I will now only give individualy to GOP politicians who oppose amnesty and open borders.
I can’t recall receiving a RNC donation letter since. If I do, I will send along another Bush Peso. I’ve still got some in reserve :-)
You are not getting the message:
Vote R even it is for a baby killing, pro-amnesty, gun grabber. R makes it all better.
Money is their god. The sources of their money are Big Business and the U,S. Chamber of Commerce.
We, the little people, were dropped in favor of globalism and the NWO. Bush, after the 2004 general election, secured his second term. It's been downhill ever since.
If the phone solicitors can't pass on the comments, we need to send faxes, e-mails, snail mail, and call them like we do Congress.

It’s undoubtedly both. They’ll only fix the phone system. The rest is beyond their pay grade, apparently.
Truly a job Americans won’t do; at least not for long! :~)
They won’t get another dime from me and I will work day and night to get rid of those b*stards Isakson and Chambliss !
I haven’t gotten anymore request’s either.
