On Taxes:
“A growing chorus of economists and experts argue, and I agree, that the current income tax system is complex and unfair and should be replaced by a flat tax or national sales tax. Simplifying the process would dramatically reduce the costs of compliance, make American companies more competitive, and put billions back into the economy by encouraging investment.”
-Tom Tancredo … Tancredo also spoke at the FairTax rally Tuesday, May 15, 2007 where he declared his support for the FairTax

attracting white supremacists and PTA moms alike.

It's important to remember that as far as the liberals in the media are concerned, any of us who are opposed to illegal immigration are white supremacists. The "racist" dog don't hunt. Not anymore.

That approach worked at the Iowa Republican Party's recent Lincoln Day Dinner in Des Moines, where McCain, Giuliani and eight other candidates each addressed a crowd of about 1,000 of the party's faithful.
Tancredo grabbed the loudest applause of the night after a podium-thumping speech that cast his campaign as a fight to preserve American values and Western civilization itself.
"This is our land, fight for it. This is our flag, pick it up. This is our country, take it back," he urged as the audience rose to its feet and cheered.

Don't get your hopes up. As I'm told over and over on FR, Tancredo doesn't appeal to people. He can't be elected.

In an interview afterward, Tancredo said he wants to stop a slow erosion of American identity in the face of rampant immigration from Mexico, economicglobalization and trade laws like the North American Free Trade Agreement that pave the way for a "North American Union" similar to the European Union. (Mexican immigrant leaders in Chicago and other U.S. cities embrace that concept.)

Thought after our discussion about the CFR's North American Community report you might appreciate a Tancredo ping.

“Mexican immigrant leaders in Chicago and other U.S. cities embrace that concept”

As if the American people needed any more proof these clowns are traitors. Now they support a North American Union too? I guess “blood runs thicker than politics” as one person working now with the Bill Richardson campaign put it.

The liberal media would like us to believe that. Tancredo does appeal to people and he can be elected.77% of Americans are for reducing illegal immigration to the U.S.. And no one is tougher than Tancredo on that except maybe Duncan Hunter who is about the same as Tancredo on immigration.

Tancredo grabbed the loudest applause of the night after a podium-thumping speech that cast his campaign as a fight to preserve American values and Western civilization itself. So which leftist republican are you backing? Giuliani? Romney? McCain? At least Tancredo is a conservative and I won't have to live with any guilt voting for him.

I'm guessing it's Giuliani. You know Fred Thompson is going to mop the floor with him, right?

Think about all the skills that a President needs. Leadership is at the top of the list, the proven ability to get something DONE. What has Tom accomplished? All Tancredo has done is blocked any illegal immagration resolution. At least Duncan Hunter got some of the fence built. Oh, he took a lot of money from some nice people.

Duncan Hunter says the same thing. The difference is that he’s not an arrogant jerk like Tancredo.

IMHO, of course. :p

If Tom Tancredo was president today , do you think this Amnesty bill would even be submitted? This bill would not even get voted on and you know it.

Tancredo is for a flat tax or fair tax and for stopping illegal immigration. Why would that make people flee to Australia?

If Tancredo was President then right now I wouldn’t be in state of fear and anxiety. My state of fear is caused by the fact that congress seems bent on importing 200 million uneducated 3rd world immigrants which would turn America into a socialist hell hole.

Stop worrying, it ain`t going to happen. Bet you a front row seat watching Tom pick strawberries that this will be one of the biggest issues in the 08 election at all levels. That`s where this will be decided, as it should be.
