My point exactly. Christianity has a 600 year headstart.

I hate the amnesty bill. However, I do not have the luxury of extensively wallowing in feelings of malcontent and waxing woe-is-me, woe-are-we at any given opportunity.

We the people can still have our say. Are you part of the solution or do you just complain vociferously and use any thread that might have the remotest implications of the amnesty bill in order to get your frustrations out?

It must be nice to have so few worries in your life that you can obsess about things that really aren’t of much consequence.

Religions do not exist in a vacuum: they are colored by the nature of the larger world in which they exert influence. Christianity was the way it was in the 1400's not simply due to the weight of its own influence, but because of the lack of more advanced influences in its sphere. The Enlightenment and Renaissance came about in reaction to ages of medieval repression. The Church as it had existed for many hundreds of years previous to that time came along only reluctantly into modernity. But come along it did.

Islam on the other hand has stagnated - it has remained stuck in the 9th Century - since the 9th Century - and has proven absolutely resistant to the encroachment of a single modern idea.

Christianity (and Judaism, and Buddhism for that matter) are more advanced not because they got a "head start" but because they are open to the ideas of human progress and the primacy of individual liberty - concepts that Islam explicitly rejects.

Hello, FRiend! Good to see you!

Allegra, do any Saudis and Iranians keep slaves?
Saudis certainly do. Some Saudis bring people from places like Sri Lanka and The Philippines under the guise of various lucrative labor jobs and have been known to keep them as slaves, confining them, not paying them and cutting them off from communicating with their relatives back home.

Are women inferior in status in either country?
In those two countries - absolutely. In Saudi, women can't even drive or vote. Both countries inflict strict Islamic dress codes on the women. The laws of those nations are very heavily slanted against women having any real rights and they are viewed more as property.

Are other religions inferior in either country?
Absolutely.

How about the other Islamic countries?

Islam is the dominant religion in all of the Middle Eastern countries, but many of them have secular laws and are much more relaxed. Jordan, Bahrain, Dubai, Oman to name a few are secular and tend to be western-friendly. Bahrain and Dubai are downright festive party towns (where the hypocritical Saudis go for their whoring and drinking...).

Even Iraq allows things like alcohol and pork and has no dress code.

How is it possible to blaspheme a prophet?

These Islomites become more unbearable by the hour.

Islam has been around about as long as Christianity had at the time of the Salem witch trials. Who's to say what it will be like in another 400 or so years?

The monsters (well, all right, cosmically misguided earthlings) in Salem didn't have worldwide terrorists and nukes. Who's to say civilization can last another 400 more years for them to get sane? Or 100?

Yes, I looked at your profile and know where you are - nice job. Hope you get lots of hazard pay.

As per your insult hurled at me - I am not "wallowing in feelings of malcontent and waxing woe-is-me," I am educating people as to consequences of inaction on threats to US security.

As for amnesty, I am part of the solution having called and e-mailed several times my Senators and Rep. I have phoned the RNC as well. I am doing my best to educate people who pay little attention to important issues such as islamofascism, national security and the shamnesty bill and their inter-relationship.

Stay safe, good luck and keep your insults in check.

There will be no need for Sharia law.

All that will be needed are police forces that are sufficiently cowed that they will not investigate certain killings and assaults

What is the point of the fine if he got a death sentence?!?!

To impoverish his family after he's dead

Witch burnings, the Inquisition, the Crusades, and the Genocide against Native Americans were every bit as extreme as those perpetrated by Islam.

Here's where the difference lies between Christianity and islam:
The atrocities you mention were committed in direct opposition to Jesus' teachings, therefore the perpetrators were Christians in name only. The muslims' atrocities were in accordance with Mohammed's edict to "fight against and slay the unbelievers wherever you find them."

Even today, organized Christianity promotes, or tolerates within its ranks, ideas in direct opposition to Jesus’ teachings.

Saint Joan of Arc was burned at the stake, too — her feast day was yesterday. But now we’re living in the twenty-first century, and the followers of Islam are still stuck in the ninth century with no plans to move forward mentally. And yes, I do blame Islam.

Factory Area police had registered a blasphemy case under Section 295 C of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Masih on September 10, 2005, after he had allegedly made derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at a Qawali function on September 9, 2005.

Islam-list

If people want on or off this list, please let me know.
