Mr Bush has signed an official document endorsing CIA plans for a propaganda and disinformation campaign intended to destabilise, and eventually topple, the theocratic rule of the mullahs. Under the plan, pressure will be brought to bear on the Iranian economy by manipulating the country's currency and international financial transactions. Details have also emerged of a covert scheme to sabotage the Iranian nuclear programme. Security officials in Washington have disclosed that Teheran has been sold defective parts on the black market in a bid to delay and disrupt its uranium enrichment programme, the precursor to building a nuclear weapon...

More than 40 major international banks and financial institutions have either cut off or cut back business with the Iranian government or private sector as a result of a quiet campaign launched by the Treasury and State departments last September, according to Treasury and State officials.

This week brought unusual news from Russia, which until now has been a major supplier of Irans nuclear programs.
The Russians said they were pulling engineers and technicians out of Busheir, the Persian Gulf site where since 1995 they have been building a nuclear power plant for Iran. They cited as pretext Irans failure to make timely payments on the $800 million contract.

Ding, ding, ding. You win the prize. When we figure-out what it is, we’ll send it to ya.
Correct. The liberals entrenched within the CIA (and other parts of the foreign policy bureacracy) decide which orders to follow, or make up their own. They were able to run off Porter Goss, and took down Scooter Libby which was the next best thing to taking down their real opponent, Cheney.
They are quite arrogant and are very close to the liberal media. They leak whatever they like whenever they choose and appear safely beyond the reach of any enforcement branch of government, even if there was a political will to discipline them.
Thanks! LOL
Can I talk about it in Ebonics, so's the Iranian butt-heads can't understand the code???
propaganda and disinformation aren’t “black ops.” We should be doing “wet ops” and blowing up things.
Oh, that’s why they call it “Black” Ops!
Even if this is true it is about twenty years too late. A shame too, as the Iranians are some of the most pro-Western, America-loving people on the planet.
Indeed! In my opinion a nation is lost of the media can cause things like this to happen. This Operation may have had a chance! No thanks to the media! I am of the opinion that who ever let this out needs a headache, the media could also use a good paddling, but they have such a huge foothold in this country.....*Shudder*. MAN! I may be only 16 but I understand what things like this can mean. Not good!

Wake Up America!!
LOL!

You seen this one G.D?
Thus the reason for the article.
Do you remember that picture (not photoshopped) of the roadkill that Cal Trans just painted a double yellow center line right over??? You musta and that's what caused you to come up with that perfect caption!!!
Psy-ops?
Well, here's hopin' :)
Uh, hasn’t this been US policy toward IRAN since Jan, 1981?
