The suit does not refer specifically to Odyssey's claim on May 18 that it had legally recovered gold and silver coins worth an estimated $500 million from a colonial-era wreck code-named "Black Swan" at an undisclosed location in the Atlantic Ocean.

If the Spanish give too much trouble, melt it down or scatter it back over a deep part of the ocean.

I think this is the ship that Edwards invested in the recovery company. He'll have to sue himself - and I'm sure he would find some way to profit off that.

I lost a dollar a few months ago. If anyone finds it, I’ll sue for triple damages unless you return it to me now.

It is the very same ship. I am sure that he’ll offer his services to the salvagers.

No, merely bomb a few train stations and they probably will give them the Crown Jewels just to be rid of them../s

Reminds me of the lawyer who was so cocky that he sued himself just to prove who was the better lawyer.

Edwards is an investor, I suppose he could play both sides against each other and bill by the hour.

Somebody of Aztec, Mayan, or Inca heritage will have more claim to that loot than the Spanish do.

Governments need to stay out of this. If private enterprise manages to find buried treasures from centuries ago, they should be allowed to keep every penny of it.

The Spanish government of two centuries ago is not the same government as today.

Absolutely! The present Spanish government has nothing to do with this treasure that is over 200 years old.
