The GOP has taken a serious lefward turn in the last few years. Nominating Rooty as the party standard bearer would continue that trend and seriously fracture the GOP for the 2008 general election. The Democrats would surely win against Giuliani. I working to make sure your boy, Rudy Giuliani, never gets the nomination.
ES - listened to the Sage...good show. Maybe if he has the same guest again you should just pose it as "R*** G******". Judging by the comments and polarity I am seeing on FR this may be enough to fool most of them. This RG problem is beginning to look real stupid.
I've told you before, Free Republic is not a liberal debating society. If you have a problem with that, take it up with management.

That is exactly what Giuliani is attempting to do. He's been lying and obfuscating his liberal record for far too long. The truth is getting out and his supporters don't like it one bit.
I don’t have your courage. Going so far as to even suggest the Mayor’s nomination and political ability (including potential Congressional coattails, arguably more important) in a manner at all auguring advocacy of such, at least as it exists right now, will likely get us run out on a rail.
Work on the outside, leave the Presidential stuff there, too, and work for other causes among what are otherwise fellow-travelers. I can’t believe the number of RG-related threads on a daily basis with our Nation about to be swamped by a gutless, Faustian game of Amnesty.
The day will come. You’ll screw up again, except this time it won’t be a short suspension. You’ll be gone for GOOD!
