Report Confrims Terror Dry Run (in 04 by Syrian musicians)
The Washington Times ^ | May 30 | Audrey Hudson

A newly released inspector general report backs eyewitness accounts of suspicious behavior by 13 Middle Eastern men on a Northwest Airlines flight in 2004 and reveals several missteps by government officials, including failure to file an incident report until a month after the matter became public. According to the Homeland Security report, the "suspicious passengers," 12 Syrians and their Lebanese-born promoter, were traveling on Flight 327 from Detroit to Los Angeles on expired visas. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services extended the visas one week after the June 29, 2004, incident. The report also says that a background check in the FBI's National Crime Information Center database, which was performed June 18 as part of a visa-extension application, produced "positive hits" for past criminal records or suspicious behavior for eight of the 12 Syrians, who were traveling in the U.S. as a musical group. In addition, the band's promoter was listed in a separate FBI database on case investigations for acting suspiciously aboard a flight months earlier. He was detained a third time in September on a return trip to the U.S. from Istanbul, the details of which were redacted.

BUMP this thread.
Why do I think I’ll never see this story on prime time news?

This is so unreal..... Annie J. was right on target, and all of her detractors are vicious dishonest treasonous hacks and worse. It’s amazing how many libs and RINOs (including so much of the federal bureaucracies) don’t care at all about real security, no matter what they may pretend to say....

From "The Captain's Quarters":

"The names of the suspicious passengers were run through FBI databases, indicating the musical group's promoter had been involved in a similar incident in January 2004. No other derogatory information was received, and all 13 of the men were released."

You do realize that the article says 8 of 12 had criminal backgrounds (excluding the leader).

Thank you for the ping!

And to it I say...the more this type of reporting gets out, the faster those in charge will be shamed into doing the right thing--if nothing else....making us better off than before. I only hope these good people keep telling their stories to anyone who'll listen and learn.

We had an interesting situation with a local police officer. Hubby is retired police, but doesn't let on, as it shouldn't be a factor when calling in a legitimate strange occurrence. We called in an individual, the man was never even I.D.'d, and was let go. He appeared to us as fitting the profile of a terrorist--in looks and in deed. This was a couple of years ago, now. We were shocked at what transpired, especially at such a time when we should be at our most alert to strange actions.
