Yes, I’d like to reclaim the Republican Party — but not in the way you have in mind. I’d like to have a broad-based party that can accomodate different views, not one held hostage by social conservatives.

Don’t get me wrong. I have no love for Chuck Hagel and the others you mention. Defeat them in the primaries, by all means. But recognize that it’s a big country, and it takes a big party to represent divergent viewpoints. If the GOP doesn’t want to do it, someone else will.

So what would such a party stand for? What would it mean to be a Republican-low taxes,anti-abortion etc? What you have in mind is a party which stands for nothing and will fall for anthing-pretty much exactly what we have today.

How many sliced, diced and hamburgerized babies would you regard as enough? Or is it that 50+ million already are not enough and no number ever will be? You don’t mind being Republican so long as the (Demonratic policy of maxiumum) babykilling rolls on unimpeded? Help us understand your desired policy here.

Big tent republicans are what got us into the mess we’re in right now.

No thanks, if the Republican Party endorses liberalism in any shape or form, it will lose me and I dare say, a great many other conservatives and will be the minority party for a long long time.

I’m going to rattle your political cage for a moment, here, by suggesting to you something so unintuitive-but-true that it may simply leave you speechless.

Citizens are more free to do their own thing — including living debauched and immoral lives — when hardline Conservatives rule the roost.

If you want government to leave you the hell alone as much as possible, vote for the hardline Conservative every opportunity you get.

Sure! The social conservatives can stay. All they have to do is like the RINOs. Else they are purged.

If this amnesty passes, I don’t know if I can pull the lever for a Republican.
