Huh? Did I say all that? Hmmmmm... I was just wondering what you expected other than amnesty with DEMs in both Houses?

News flash - amnesty would be a dead issue except for the fact that BUSH wants it and would SIGN IT instead of VETOING IT.

You are right that my premise was wrong if based on fact. But I should have pointed out that my premise was based on just attitude that I saw in here. I don’t understand that attitude.

So you are advocating leaving the RINO’s in office to continue to work towards the demise of the good old USA? Spoken like a true liberal.

What happens?

The Democrats will control all three branches of government in 2008.

Its that simple. Unless you live and work in Washington DC for the GOP.

My prediction: The GOP will lose the Presidency in the 2008 election.

So wait, are you saying John Culberson lost the election, or that the RINOs aren't paying attention to him? How is any of this the conservatives' fault?

No. I am saying that Culberson is a conservative who strongly opposed amnesty and that since he is a minority party now, he may as well go home and watch TV.

This article is BS. I don't know of any case where it was promoted not to vote for a conservative candidate to "teach Republicans a lesson". In the last elections Republicans voted in their usual numbers, however Independent voters turned against Republican candidates.

I will not vote for anyone who approves this sellout of my Country, period. I will vote for any conservative I can find to vote for. If a liberal Democrat is running against a liberal Republican who voted for the illegal invaders, I will vote for neither and write in a candidate. I will let the traitorous Republican, and his party officials, know why I did not vote for them. I believe the Republican bots are in for a rude awakening when they discover that a lot of voters feel like I do.

We? Do you always hide behind people?

There are at least two of us.
That makes the "we" appropriate and correct.

No hiding necessary.

Just saying...

I was a broken glass Republican. If it passes, I will never vote GOP again, down to dog catcher. And, as a warning, I will go into Full Curmudgen Mode, insisting I know how to fix everything, but bitterly not getting involved in anything constructive to change things. Beware!

How come the Rats get a free ride? All of those that are going to “punish” the Republicans are also going to reward the very people that are against EVERYTHING we believe. That`s smart?
I`m sure that the “there all the same whine” might get an arguement from our troops.

"So you are advocating leaving the RINO’s in office to continue to work towards the demise of the good old USA? Spoken like a true liberal."

I have advocated no such thing. I am just surprised that anyone is surprised that amnesty is passing and I am surprised that anyone thought the minority Republicans could do anything about it. Had the Republicans controlled both Houses there would be no amnesty. It's just a consequence of teaching the Republicans a lesson so don't act surprised with the outcome. It's certainly screwed my conservative congressman John Culberson.

Great. “We” don’t like me mentioning that I am a computer scientist. I’ll make a note of it.

POLL: What happens to the GOP if amnesty is enacted?

Easy!

Amnesty will enable 19 million new Democrat voters. With the razor thin election margins of today, these new Democrat voters will spell the end of the Republican Party as a political force.

You’ll just have to deal with it. Logic is the basis of computer science, hence the mention. And watching amnesty pass and crying about it while teaching the Republicans a lesson defies logic.

There are only two options: 1) The Mexican Invasion Surrender Bill is defeated; or 2) The GOP ceases to be a major party, and is replaced by some other party.

Those are your options. Deal with it.

I can tell you what I have done. I went to my Board of Elections and CHANGED my afiliation from Republican to Unafiliated. I am going to send a copy of my new registration card to my senators and congressmen. The republican party can go on with its’ self inflicted trip to Hades, It will no longer have my vote on anything. I will vote for a person based only on their record and how they stand on particular subject. If the Republican party remains in the minority—too bad.If Hillary is prez- too bad.I will do all that I can to reduce my tax exposure and deal with illegals that encroach on my life as best as I can.
