Ping.
OMG!!!!! You better have Pics :*)
LOL. Excellent essay! Although I was not there, that dovetails with my take on Governor Richardson — potentially more formidable on substance than either Senator Clinton or Senator Obama, but not quite there in the charisma department.
Thanks for a well written account.
And through it all, what struck me most is (sorry to say) his campaign manager is a high school kid. 8^)
Sounds like my assessment of Richardson’s been pretty right on all along: the stockroom’s filled with a minefield mix of blessings and curses, but there’s nothing in the store windows that’s got the oomph to get customers through the revolving doors.
NEXT!
I enjoyed reading about your adventure! Thanks!!
Thank you. Great story.
BTTT for later reading... (or what on earth am I doing on FR at 4:23 in the morning? LOL)
BTTT. Thanks for an interesting report.
“Jim McDermott said that Al Gore would enter late after all the others had exhausted their bank accounts. Jim says its going to be Gore/Obama for sure.”
McDermott still wiretapping people? He’d make a great commie.
A BTT for the evening crew. Wonderful account, Publius, although I'm thinking you're for the delousing shed after this little shakedown cruise. Hold still, buddy, the DDT won't hurtcha but the cooties will...
Mr. Richardson might find it a bit difficult to shut down Abu Ghraib inasmuch as we turned it over to the Iraqis late last year. But as far as sitting all the sides down together for a nice chat, I think that's a jolly idea, preferably after notifying his next of kin. Mebbe I could contribute to his campaign if he makes me his beneficiary. Reeking of earnestness may not bring peace to a bunch who've been fighting for 1400 years but it is a great way to wind up on Youtube in an al Qaeda snuff film. "Decap recap at 11:00..."
BTTT Just wonderful! Delightful read... but..er...a CHECK written to a Democrat? Of couse, I get it - you’re going to cancel it, right? ;)
bttt
That may be true, but for New Mexicans it's a half-billion dollar boondoggle that will never make 10% of fare recovery let alone pay for itself. That money could better be spent improving the road transportation system, especially that part adjacent to the RR that hasn't been updated since construction in the late 1960's/early 70's. The entire 50+ mile system carries a max of 2,500 passengers per day. Read all about the boondoggle here:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/09/just-former-governor-new-mexico-bill-richardson-dead/ ,p> Former Democrat New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson passed away at the age of 75.
According to the Richardson Center for Global Engagement, Richardson died in his sleep on Friday night.
Richardson served as Governor from 2003-2011. He previously served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in 1997 and as U.S. Secretary of Energy from 1998-2001. He also served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1983-1997.
