Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.
The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.
"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."
Clinton said she would reduce special breaks for corporations, eliminate tax incentives for companies that ship jobs overseas and open up CEO pay to greater public scrutiny.
Clinton also said she would help people save more money by expanding and simplifying the earned income tax credit; create new jobs by pursuing energy independence; and ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.

Whose gonna pay the bills for the socialist world paradise, after this “own our own and Santa Claus for all those ‘we’re all in it together’ welfare societies; after we throw down our shovels and sit down on our asses beside them?”
The world is waiting for your answer, Hillary, Obama, all you jackasses........WE CAN’T HEAR YOOOOU!!!!
What’s really frightening is that an awful lot of people hear this gobbledegook and think it’s just wonderful.
Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! This is the big scheme that everyone is falling into. Put all your money in your 401k, IRA's, etc. Keep it there under Govt. rules until you're 59 1/2 and supposedly retire in a lower tax bracket when you retrieve the money. Sure, like we'll ever see a lower tax bracket then we have today. Aint gonna happen, when all the boomers start taking their money you can be sure the socialists will have ratcheted up the tax bracket to well over 50%.
That’s because he can be for individual rights all he wants but when he spouts off like the most rabid of the moonbats that the US is responsible for the attack on the WTC and that Osama is right he’s gone way beyond losing my vote. He has earned my contempt.
Liberals, raise taxes, fund socialism and gun control so no one can do anything about it. See Venezuela for how it all is supposed to work.
.....but you can damned sure believe that she is not willing to live in an “average” home on the median income.
Ok, Hillary, if the government is going to share my prosperity, tell me why I should contribute anything other than the absolute minimal amount of labor I can get away with? And if many think as I do, won’t it reduce the overall prosperity of our nation? And the bonus question: Has any “shared prosperity” country ever done anything other than make its workers live in poverty?
Hey Hillary,
God said the same thing but we generally don’t listen to Him. He doesn’t force us to do it against our will either, and there’s a reason for that.
So who the hell do you think you are?
You, the Government, cannot solve society’s ills. Stop playing God!

>>>Conservatism is that we are all equal before the law and we all have equal opportunity. She may be selling but I aint buying.<<<<
I think what Hilary is trying to say is that everyone should have the right to pilfer china and silverware.
“I prefer a ‘we’re all in it together’ society,” she said.”
Sounds like Socialism to me. But what do I know? I’m just a dumb-a@@ engineer.
I think we’ve been sufficiently warned that this Stalinist wants to create a communist society.
What a pointless statement for Senator Clinton to make. I have no real idea what she is talking about, and I’ll wager a guess she doesn’t either.
So don't vote for the guy, I don't care. What I do care about is that the GOP doesn't seem to stand for much these days. They lack a compelling vision and are constantly on defense, presenting ideas that a generation ago would have been reserved for LBJ.
So she is going to dole out her mega bucks to us little people? right.........
The one good thing about this is it scares the undecided voters over to our side.
sorry i did not know that I had farted that loudly.
