Was Sheehan an effective leader?

Scott Soares

Scott Soares, San Francisco

Not effective at all. She was a mouthpiece of the radical left, and only showed how easy it is to mock groups like Code Pink, ANSWER, etc. When you cozy up to dictators like Chavez and openly degrade the U.S., your 15 minutes are up. Good riddance, Cindy.

Michael Bush

Michael Bush, Santa Cruz

I thank Sheehan for her effort in general and for the unknowable number of consciousnesses she raised. Effective? Only if we put an end to this dismal Iraq adventure. Cindy Sheehan has done more than her share.

Toby Dixon

Toby Dixon, San Francisco

She was very effective when she camped out in front of Bush's vacation home because it made the world realize how long Bush takes a vacation.

Violet Lawton

Violet Lawton, Alameda

No, even though she had the right message and was incensed, as she should have been, that her son was killed in Bush's personal war. She didn't have the necessary thick skin, charisma or political savvy to stand up to the political machine and make Bush accountable.

Arye Michael Bender

Arye Michael Bender, San Francisco

Sheehan turned her pain into a protest against needless death in the name of patriotism. She attached another face to the consequences of our actions in Iraq and the ongoing crusade to sell us the war. Her courage came at a high price. Besides the loss of her son, another toll can be seen in her face. As a true patriot, she has my admiration. As a human being,...

>>Toby looks light in the loafers.

Toby doesn’t even know that Bush lives in Crawford. It isn’t his “vacation home” as our intrepid “Tobester” thinks.

Nice to know the vapid provincials in Bagdad by the Bay are still just as insufferably brain dead as when I departed in 1998.

These people’s pictures and quotes could be in an online dictionary definition for “useless idiots”. Yes, I meant useless. Even the most hard core Bolshevik could not get anything useful out of the peculiar breed of zombies of the left that inhabit Northern CA.

It’s “near” Austin. Must be a lot of slackers in Crawford, he guesses.

It wasn’t hip to protest Clinton’s wars.

An effective leader? Was was a pawn. It was painful to listen to her speak because you can tell she is feeble minded.

Unless my memory is much worse that I regard it to be....

Didn't then-President CLinton make a "promise" that no American lives would be hurt or killed in the Balkan's COnflict?

Unknowable number of consciousnesses? You cannot make this up.

Someone also needs to inform him that the house in Crawford is the President’s primary residence, not a vacation home. He happens to currently reside in the White House but will have to leave at the end of his term as all Presidents do.

I'm sorry you never got the education you deserved, Toby. Here's hoping you can at least go back for your GED.

“Bush’s personal war”!??!?! Ugh.

This old biddy probably believes everything printed in Walter Scott’s Personality Parade also.

Of course you can’t make it up - it’s unknowable! :)

Or is number of consciousness plural? In that case THEY are unknowable!

Oh heck - it’s just unknowable, OK?

Never forget that these people are now the majority. They make the rules.

God help these United States.

Cindy Sheehan wasn’t a leader of any kind, she was a tool the liberal media used to bash Republicans.

It finally dawned on Cindy that the media has no further use for her and has moved on.

How come nobody realizes she wasn’t a leader but just a front for those who do not want their influence to be public?

Toby Dixon. Dixon. Dixon. Hmmm... Given that he lives in SF and he's far left, that last name sounds very appropriate for him.
