BERLIN (AP) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday she led a congressional delegation to Greenland, where lawmakers saw "firsthand evidence that climate change is a reality," and she hoped the Bush administration would consider a new path on the issue.
The fjords of the southern part of the island were lush and had a warmer climate at that time, due to what was called the Medieval Warm Period.
These remote communities thrived and lived off farming, hunting and trading with the motherland. In 1261, Greenland became part of the Kingdom of Norway.
After almost five hundred years, the Scandinavian settlements simply vanished due to famine during the fifteenth century in the Little Ice Age, when climatic conditions deteriorated.
I doubt this woman spends much time at looking at anything, except for her own face in a mirror.

The Northwest Passage was open then. The Chinese could sail all the way to Greenland, which isn’t really all that far if you can go north past Alaska.

The carbon credit junket paymasters typically send the likes of McCain to Prudhoe Bay in September, point out the lack of ice, and say “See! Proof of global warming.”
I predict in two weeks time Pelosi will be publicly pushing a “climate bill” with all sorts of minutiae to distract that it’s main motivation is carbon credit trading. Pelosi will use words like “global cooperation” and “respecting our allies”, code words for attaching us to European carbon credit markets.
The plural of “anecdote” is not “data”. This woman’s brain is a hybrid - stupidity with a backup engine of ignorance.
