It wasn't too bright of them to hire somebody to digitize the video for them.

All you need is a $39 TV tuner card in your PC to convert a VHS tape to a DVD.

The left DEMANDED that this guy’s identity be exposed -

he violated the “Fort Dix Six”’s civil rights!

It also requires a level of comfort and technical competence that these folks obviously didn’t have.

You know, nowadays the tape was probably MiniDV and if they’d bought a Mac Mini they could have used FireWire to transfer it and iDVD to burn it without any trouble at all. I think there are even fairly inexpensive PCs that will do the same thing.

But I suppose a Mac Mini ($599) was out of their budget ...

I wonder how much they were charged for the transfer.

Ah, well, now, it makes perfect sense. I’m still under the delusion that civil rights - all constitutional rights - belong to U. S. citizens. My bad.

Terrorists are often less-than-bright. If I'm not mistaken, a major break in the first WTC bombing came when the terrorists returned to the location at which they rented the truck they blew up to try to get their deposit back.

"Conspiracy", for starters...

Speaking on CNN's "American Morning," Brian Morganstern described how two men brought him a videotape to transfer to DVD in late January 2006.

Oh great. Now this poor guy's name will be posted in mosques all over NJ. Hope he has sufficient life insurance...

Yeah. The handcuffs and chains he was wearing when they dragged him kicking and screaming onto the CNN set were a dead giveaway.</sarcasm>

Yeah. The handcuffs and chains he was wearing when they dragged him kicking and screaming onto the CNN set were a dead giveaway.

--------------------------------------------------------

How about giving him credit instead of sarcasm? In the interview I saw he praised the military as the real heroes and said that we all need to be in this.

Apparently he wanted his 15 minutes badly enough to go on CNN and expose himself and his family to potential retribution. I’m thinking his face being used for target practice at terror training camps all along the U.S. eastern seaboard.

I’ve been waiting for Scott Ott or maybe Borowitz to work up a story where the Democrats nationalize Circuit City for homeland defense.

When he first became suspicious he said he was hesitant to call the Feds because he didn’t want to be called a racist.

From the article: "Ten men at a firing range with handguns, rifles and what he thought were fully automatic rifles."

"What he thought were fully automatic rifles"...that probably means that they were NOT fully automatic rifles.

Those of us who own firearms need to be very careful. Best not to make any video records for our posterity, lest our exercise of freedom be mistaken for criminality.

I hope Mr. Morganstern has a good attorney for the coming CAIR civil rights lawsuit against him.

The sarcasm is directed to those who are acting as if Mr. Morgenstern had been outed as part of some leftist media plot. He knew he was appearing on nationwide media and that they were planning on using his name. He obviously isn't concerned about it, and as for recognition and praise I think he deserves all that we can give him. He may well have saved the lives of some servicemen and in this case he is every much a hero as they are.
