Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced Monday she is giving up her role as the "face" of the American anti-war movement.
Sheehan, 49, of Vacaville, Calif., lost her 24-year-old son Casey in Iraq on April 4, 2004. She has since emerged as one of the most vocal and high-profile opponents of the war, drawing international attention nearly two years ago when she camped outside President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch to protest the war.
"I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost," Sheehan said.

You nailed it with you comments regarding the Dim’s and how they use people up and toss them away, and that change can only happen in this country through conservative principles and values.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, she’s within 60 miles of me!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The only thing wrong with this caricature is that she was always laughing it up and having a good time.
I actually wish her well. Even though she was probably a bit nutty anyway, I think she was a victim in a lot of ways. She lost her son and went close to the edge, then some very unsavory, selfish people latched onto her grief and pushed her over it.
I hope that, after some time spent in the real world, with her real family, she’ll be able to find a bit of peace.
I think she changed because she has been dropped and her money has dried up, not from any change of heart. This woman was told what to say, how to act, etc. I’d go so far as to say she never had an original thought of her own. She was created by the likes of Moveon.org., promoted by them and picked up and pushed by the media.
Bingo!
“After two years of embarrassing your sons legacy, you finally realize that the left has no principles and is only interested in regaining its power in D.C.”
You give her too much credit saying that the left fooled her. She’s the one who chose to attack them... Biting the hand that feeds you is never smart.
I wish this lady luck, but she should never involve herself in things she doesn’t understand ever again.
Either paid off, or visited by some of the same sort of folks Hillary used to sic on “bimbo eruptions.” (Not to mention, Vince Foster...)
Maybe she can work for the Global Warming ® movement.
Of course not, but now she won't get the media coverage she had before.
It’s obvious that the Code Pinkos and others who have been paying all her travel and living expenses pulled the plug on her after she attacked the Democrats the other day.
She isn’t quitting because she’s seen the light. She’s more delusional than ever. She went over the top and said too much, and now she’s been dumped.
Meantime, she carelessly tossed away her husband and remaining children to pursue her career as a Famous Peace Mom, so she’s not going to find much family to return to. Especially since she hasn’t really learned anything through her experience over the last couple of years, but has simply been dumped now that her leftist friends have used her up. She’s crazier than ever, and has discarded all her real family and friends. Now comes the hard part.
Old Swimmer never seems to get used up.
Just keep your eyes open and never ever go out without your crucifex and garlic. LOL
A grief therapist? You’re kidding, right? After she tromped on the graves of all the other sons and daughters lost in Iraq, and rubbed it in the face of THEIR grieving parents, she needs a swift kick, not a therapist.
I just hope she looks back on these two years and asks herself, what on earth was I thinking!
Must not forget the wooden spike either.
Oh, I think they always knew. They just discarded her like a used tissue when she was no longer useful to them. Whoever coined the phrase "useful idiots" knew her type well.
These are not spur of the moment reflections, but things I have been meditating on for about a year now. ...
It amazes me that people who are sharp on the issues and can zero in like a laser beam on lies, misrepresentations, and political expediency when it comes to one party refuse to recognize it in their own party.
Having been through that process myself, I'm taking them as sincere, and giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Oh, absolutely!
