“The tribunal’s president said groups of straight women found homosexual men entertaining but that such attention was dehumanising, the BBC’s Phil Mercer in Sydney says.”

- My impression is that most gay people enjoy attention quite a lot.

I can see that homosexuals might like to have a bar where they can relax among their own without fear about being laughed at.

But the question is, why can’t other groups do the same? Where do you draw the lines? (As if I had to ask.)

I’d grant them that ‘right’. That would then make it equally acceptable to ban homosexuals from any establishment.

Unless some groups are more equal than others.

Horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, “Why the long face”?

Answer, “I just got kicked out of a gay bar for being straight.” “I thought is was a bunch of horse-hockey”.

Sounds fine to me...
So long as other bars are free to exclude gays.

Just saying...

Which sane person would go into a gay bar anyway?

So would a bar be permitted to ban homosexuals in fear of date rape drugs being administered to unsuspecting members of the same sex (and yes this happens)?

Or is it okay to practice heterophobia but not homophobia? Sometimes it isn’t “fear” but precaution.

Good. Pray to God that our courts rule the same. Because it ALSO works the other way.

And the underlying principle is that a private business owner has the right to exclude people from his business as long as it is not done on the basis of gender, race, etc.

I don’t even want to think about what they might have to do at the door to prove their “gayness.”

Homosexuality is an act, not a state of being.

The Victorian state civil and administrative tribunal ruled the Peel Hotel could ban patrons based on their sexual orientation.

As it should be. No one should be forced to do business or associate with others against their will. The same rule should apply to a Christian shop owner who does not wish to do business with homosexuals or a restaurant owner who wants to allow/prohibit smoking in their restaurant.

Just because these fags choose to be gay, they think they can tell normal people what to do.

Its nothing more than a mental illness that can be overcome with faith in God.
