What a coward. She was fine so long as she could spew her hate-filled rhetoric unchallenged, but as soon as Hasselbeck started to fight back, Rosie caved. Pathetic.

As much as I love Elisabeth Hasselbeck, she’s an intellectual lightweight, and not a good representative of the conservative cause. I’m glad she finally decided to stand up to Rosie and not take her disparaging remarks sitting down.

I don't watch the show, but I saw the clip of the exchange and you're right. But at least she had the courage to finally tell O'dumbell what she thought. Which is probably alot more than any of the others have done.

The View is on at 10:00 am here in San Diego. Who is sitting home and watching TV that important time of the day??

Hopefully this is not what stay at home moms are watching. I can’t figure out WHO watches this program!

I thought that Elizabeth's comeback was not too organized or powerful but what I think allowed her to win the day was that she got some support from the audience.

Historically every time Rosie would open her mouth, she would get the crowd support that she would then feed upon. This last time however, Elizabeth seemed to finally get the support and IMHO, that is what threw Rosie off her scripted diatribe and she had no idea how to deal with it...........

In all honesty, when it comes down to debating skills, Elizabeth is not in the same league as Rosie......

No offense, but I'm kinda tired of hearing this sort of faint praise for Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She signed up to do a non-political show about girl-talk. Sure, it was always clear she was a Christian and political conservative, but that was simply incidental. Mostly, she was simply the classiest lady on the show.

It wasn't until Rosie was on the show that it became a political megaphone for Rosie and Joy Behar. It's not fair for us to expect Elisabeth to be our conservative spokesperson and warrior. That being the case, I believe she deserves real praise and respect for finally saying enough is enough, and calling O'Donnell on her anti-American lunacy. Enough with the "lightweight" stuff. She did real good, and we should be proud of her for representing sane America.

I totally agree. There were so many times when I wished that Elisabeth could articulate her thoughts completely and give Rosie a verbal can of whipa$$. I think she finally did it with the last argument. Pregnancy makes your senses sharper and your fuse shorter.

I read about the exchange. The audacity of turning on someone for “Not backing me up!” Beyond audacious, it’s offensive.

Hasselbeck had a very cool response, “You’re a grownup... defend your own opinion, etc...”

A very fitting exit for a strange and repulsive woman like O’Donnell.... Adios!
