So, if I'm reading this right, this means that - "I'm so irresponsible or stupid, that I allowed my body to be used as a sex object by two apparent strangers ["SODOMY?"], and therefore I have been completely separated from any personal responsibility for my own actions..."
Wow...

Rains and Airman Christopher D. Hicks are the only airmen charged in the incident because the Air Force lawyers said the staff sergeant was too drunk to give consentWasn't there a legal ruling that stated "tough cookies" in that matter?

The alcohol-induced menage a trois on Sept. 24 in Bitburg...I guess I was stationed at Spangdahlem about 26 years too early...there was none of that stuff going on when I was there.
I guess the two "ladies" were saying, Noch ein Bit, bitte!"
Bitburger Pils isn't bad...at least I can buy it locally. However, my favorite beer of all time is:
Wish they exported their beer to the US.

Nice observation. The writer should be careful with the word ‘discharge’ here.
By the way, where is Spangdelham?

THIMMESCH !!! can barely keep track of one let alone two, three, four, etc...but I admire the gumption, if not the effort.
Now: can we get back to Hillary already...

I guess the two "ladies" were saying, Noch ein Bit, bitte!" Actually, I would guess that it was more than one request for "Noch ein Bier, bitte!"
At least for the one "lady" - not that she deserved the end result - but for God's sake...

where is Spangdelham? In the Eifel region, east of Bitburg, northeast of Trier and north of the Mosel River - about 40 miles east of Luxembourg. It's at the edge of the very small village of Spangdahlem, in the countryside, so it doesn't show on most maps.

It kind of makes me sick when this happens to peons when the Commander in Chief was just as guilty of such things and he was being investigated for sexual harrassment

I agree with you John, the inebriated staff sergeant didn't deserve the end result. No mention was made if her beers were spiked with additional ingredients. It's something I worry about whenever my daughter goes out on a date, or with her friends (she's 19).
I sure enjoyed my 4 years in the Eifel. I lived in Traben-Trarbach for three years, a lovely town on the Mosel River with wonderful folks. The commute to Spangdahlem my last two years wasn't so bad, as there was no traffic to speak of, and one traffic light for 25 miles. My first two years were spent at Hahn AB.
The drive home was always special. As I came over the ridge, the views of the Mosel Valley were absolutely spectacular. On a clear day, you could see at least 10 miles in each direction. I'll never forget the feeling of relaxation, of my worldly troubles evaporating (not that I had many as a 25 year old bachelor), of being home again.

Honestly Sir.. we were just practicing our finger four formation...then I got jumped from behind and it turned in to a two on one fur-ball Oh great.... First they complain about a young female getting too frisky and conducting immoral female-female love connections at all hours of the night ...
Then they throw her into a female only prison for punishment!

Lovely area. We visited there last year after 30+ years away. Not too much has changed over the years - except the new autobahn spur past Spang and the absurdly higher prices (Euro shellacking the $). And Trier is now "modernized" and absurdly crowded (not a plus in our opinion, but the Germans seem to think that is progress). Oh, and every village has at least one Pizza/Kebab shop run by "Turks" (read: Muslims). They've moved in everywhere.
The food is still terrific and the wine the best in the world.

Not to mention the phrase Female airman seems odd. Why not airwoman or airperson? The term "airman", like "seaman", derives from the Latin manus: "hand", ie someone doing the manual work.

Thanks for the update. Of the many simple pleasures to be found, one that I enjoyed thoroughly was a clear spring/summer day in Trier, at an open-air cafe near the Porta Nigra.
When the weather wasn't so great, I'd head north to Koblenz, to the Konigsbacher brewery. Their restaurant had a grand view of the Rhine, and served bock beer year round. The return trip would take me by the Lorelei to Bacharach (for a bit of beer stein shopping), then home to Traben-Trarbach.
