A strong Republican primary challenger would stand a chance against Chambliss ... and I think you’re right on the money who it should be.

A Democrat will not beat Chambliss, and anyone who thinks one would is deluding himself.

We may be mad, we may not vote for him, but he’ll win re-election with or without us. This seat goes to the Republican running for it, and Jim Marshall knows that.

I think polls are going to show that ANY Republican Senator who backs the Immigration Bill is going to be vulnerable!

Saxby really stuck his nose in the hornet's nest this time. He can backpedal all he wants now, but the damage is done.

I'll do everything I can to see that he and Isakson go down in flames to candidates like Herman Cain.

Let him get his votes from the illegal aliens he will give amnesty to - oh wait - they’re going to vote Democrat, aren’t they.

I wonder if his concession speech will be in Spanish.

We WILL give Saxby the boot...

We WILL NOT replace him with Cynthia McKinney...
...OR Vernon Jones...
...OR especially former "King" Roy Barnes...

I like Saxby, and I do think he is a darn good Senator for us in Georgia. That being said, if he supports the immigration bill as it stands, he can kiss my money and my help and support goodbye. I have drawn my line in the sand on this one issue, and I ain’t bendin’ 1 iota on it, and as much as I admire Sen. Chambliss, if he votes for it I will be content to call him FORMER Senator Chambliss just as I love calling the idiot from Plains FORMER President Dumbshi*.

The greatest threat is from a CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN
challenger.
When will these schmucks ever learn.
Screw your base and your base will screw you.

Georgia voters! Reference this poll when calling Sen. Chambliss on the Immigration Bill!!!!

If the “compromise” loses Chambliss, maybe he can peel Isakson with him — and give political cover to someone like Lott to come back to the right side of this issue.

Had people realized that Herman Cain was the true conservative we would’nt be calling our senators offices raising hell about their position on this amnesty.Old boy network is still alive in Georgia. It needs to be put to bed in 08 starting with chambliss.

Paging Herman Cain....

Absolutely! I would vote for Herman Cain over any white Repub candidate I can think of.

I voted for Chambliss and I haven't had any major disagreements with him up until his support for the amnesty bill, which has totally turned me off on him.

How can a supposed-to-be conservative Repub Senator from a state like GA which is literally running over with illegal and legal Hispanic immigrants support a bill which will soon give GA Democrats their old majority back stronger than ever as hundreds of thousands of GA's Hispanic illegals become brand new Democrat voters courtesy of this abominable amnesty bill? Has the entire nation in general and Republican politicians in particular gone totally nuts?

Jones, who is running as a conservative Democrat, criticized him for his immigration stance this week. Jones favors an enforcement-first approach.

There it is!

But the GOP senators think their base is going to support them after joining up with Ted Kennedy!
