Yesterday, Rosie's chief writer, Janette Barber, was allegedly escorted from the building after she was caught drawing moustaches on photographs of Hasselbeck that hang in the "View" studios.
The Post's Adam Buckman reports ABC confirmed in a statement only that "photographs at 'The View's' offices were defaced. Rosie O'Donnell was not in the building. ABC Legal and Human Resources are investigating the matter." Barber is an old friend of O'Donnell who worked with her years ago on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."
There were also rumors O'Donnell was so angry after her argument with Hasselbeck that she trashed her dressing room, although ABC denied the tantrum.
As for O'Donnell, she's been posting comments on her personal Web site, rosie.com, fueling speculation she might not return to "The View" ever again. Her scheduled last day is Wednesday, June 20.
When one fan wrote, "Work isn't worth that battle," Rosie replied, "Agreed." Another wrote, "Please walk away. It's not worth it." Rosie replied, "Well, you know when it's time to go."
To a fan who asked when she would return, O'Donnell answered, "No idea."
Yesterday, O'Donnell posted a video that may have symbolized how she's feeling about "The View."
The tape consisted of ducks swimming in a pond accompanied by an audio track of the John Mayer song "Vultures," whose lyrics include "How will I hold my head to keep from going under?"
Officially, "The View" expects O'Donnell to return to work on Tuesday.

I keep hoping Rosie will get so furious that she will have spontaneous combustion. I hope they get it on video.
- While your remark might be taken as an overstatement, I think there is something to the observation that O’Donnell’s personality has changed noticeably since she first started her day time talk show. Her behavior has become more erratic and unpredictable and her outbursts more frequent, intolerant and extreme. She seems to see conspiracy everywhere which is a sure symptom of someone suffering from a persecution complex, or worse.
I would guess that there are events in her personal life which are putting great pressure on her and she lashes out from fear and insecurity. Unless she takes the pressure off herself and withdraws from public life, I see a stint on a funny farm in her future.
What Elizabeth should have said when Rosie asked her if she believed that Rosie called our troops terrorists, is, “When the shoe fits wear it.”
What I would like to point out is that The View doesn't have to wonder if Elizabeth will be at work on Tuesday. She's a professional who has no problem meeting her obligations. With Rosie you never know when the next tirade is coming and after which tantrum she just won't come back to her job. I honestly don't know what she has a problem with, she get's to say what she wants, usually without interruption. Elizabeth can't say that.
Rosie finally gets pushback and she can’t take it? What a wimp.
I thought she was married to pro football QB Matt Hassleback or his brother another pro football QB.
To be fair to The Donald, Elisabeth did provoke that one.
I think they're brother and sister.
I bet it irks Rosie that she's not gettin' some of that.
I think that she is “circling the drain” with these fits and attacks that occur at the slighest provocation. Or it is just that her view of the world is so fragile that the smallest challenge to her point of view shakes her to the core. A “Stalinist” paranoid behavior.
She is not a happy woman.
Rosie is a case study in bullies.
LOL! Classic!
Rosie is a cowardly bully who is not used to people who fight back
Haven't got the video, but I think this is a screenshot from the show
LOL! Nailed it!!!
Elisabeth has the best something else on TV also. My goodness, she has developed since “Survivor”. Maybe it’s because she’s a mom now.
I just found this on her blog. Looks to me like she agrees with this person comparing the troops to terrorists.
