I don’t know. The reason I switch her food to that was because she needed a higher protein dry food than what she was on, because she’d was losing weight and was diagnosed with lymphoma. (kind of) She’s gone. I had her euthanized last month. I have no idea if the food did any harm.

My dad is a Belgian now US citizen who grew up in China and said to me on Sunday that there is imbedded in the China psyche to steal it if you possibly can.

Anyway, I am not purchasing, knowingly, products from China even if I have to pay more. My dog is eating Kibbles N Bits dry food and seems to be fine so far.

We were gently trying to make fun of your typing. Sorry to hear about your cat.

I see that “cross contamination” is becoming a pet food industry for the following,

- We have no idea how it got there.

- We have no idea who supplied what/when.

- We’re really not sure -who- actually made it.

- We have no idea exactly when it was made.

- Heavens no, we didn’t test any of it!

I know. Thanks.
It’s been a very stressful week, and I’m getting a cold, and I have to fly to Rhode Island in the morning.
I don’t expect typing to improve much until next week.
;~ )

I fear one of my two cats affected by the recall (Science Diet MD) is losing her battle. On March 16, she weighted 23lbs. Since the recall around that date, she has lost a ton of weight, and now is a little under 10lbs. The vet ran tests and she has a kidney infection. She still won't eat anything, not even tuna or catnip. I've been giving her IV fluids to keep her hydrated... I'm so worried about her. She will be 11 in August.

I cooked for a couple of my dogs for years because one of them had a sensitive tummy and did not do well on dog food. If this keeps up, I may go back to home cooking.

Right now, I am feeding Beef ‘n More. It is made by Merrick (a high class dog food manufacturer) and sold at Sam’s Club. It is about $15 for 40 pounds. The ingredient list is better that dog foods costing twice as much. And none of Merrick’s products are on the recall list.

Glad you laughed. I was worried the dry humor hadn’t made it across and it would seem offensive!

I do hope your cat shows no long-term ill effects from her experience.

“How fast did Japan, South Korea, and the EU ban American beef after a few cases of Mad Cow were found?”

Not only that it was a Canadian cow brought to the US for slaughter - it caught the prion disease there!
