Here in Connecticut, most courtrooms don't have any books to swear on at all, it's just raise your right hand and recite:

I solemnly swear or affirm that I will tell the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God or under penalty of perjury.

It’s not like Lightning strikes you when you lie under christian / catholic oath. Everyone can lie, and a swearing in doesn’t physically prevent you from lying.

There is no law that compels anyone from swearing on any particular "book" that I am aware of........and I'm tired of this muslim/aclu/answer bullshit, and I'm positive BITS will happen in short order. Whatwith the "new" amnesty crap being pushed down the citizens throat I'm certain of it.

Actually, this is pretty fascinating. Some US court judge who knows squat about Islam, has now made it official that Muslims can not only lie in court, they can follow the tenets of Mohammed who encouraged them to lie to infidels (us) and use the Koran to sanction their lying in a US (read "infidel") court of law.

The irony is delicious!!
