This is another “good news” story. I get the impression the Lebanese Army knows how to deal with al Qaeda.

(Al Qaeda knows Iraq's strategic value, yet the Democrats work day and night for our defeat there.)

This is another good news story. I get the impression the Lebanese Army knows how to deal with al Qaeda. Where the Lebanese Army has an advantage over the U.S. Army is that the Lebanese Army seems to have realistic rules of engagement and is not currently hamstrung by their own politicians.

I get the impression the Lebanese Army knows how to deal with al Qaeda.Your optimism, unfortunately, may be premature. We still don't really know who has the upper hand in the fighting. The story is from a publication that is probably pro-Lebanese army, so we don't know anything about what casualties the army has suffered in the fighting.

It does appear they are starting to step up to the plate. They where so disorganized during last years mini war.
