There is a reason why whites in the northeast (and possibly other parts of the country), avoid towns with large or growing black populations. Aside from "group affinity" there is the knowledge that we will face some sort of hostility. No thanks.
What happened was pretty disgusting and nauseating. The Justice Brothers pray for incidents like this to happen.
Oh god, here we go. Meanwhile 2 whites killed by a group of blacks in Tn isn’t a race crime and isn’t worth mentioning.
We all know that all whites are racist, and that’s not racist, that’s just a fact....

I was surprised when I read this story as it does sound somewhat serious. When you see the term ‘racial incident’ it can mean anything, but usually means nothing. In my town (Spokane, WA) a member of our park board was nearly lynched for using the derogatory and racially charged term (dare I say it?) ‘colored guy’. The word “colored” is now apparently taboo, even thought it’s used in NAACP. It’s like the ‘n’ word; they can use it, whites can’t. This is somebody’s idea of equality.
Two things to remember about this story: You are reading it in one of the most politically correct newspapers in America, the Baltimore Sun. Second, there is always more to a story like this than makes the papers.
So before you go piling on the last group in America that can be ridiculed and joked about, White Southerners, make sure you know the full story.
In the North there are plenty schools where say the school have 60% black students and 40% white. I GUARANTEE that the 40% of white folk are too darned scared and too darned smart to be violating in social space established by the 60% of the black students.
Acceptable: Person of Color
Unacceptable: Colored person.
Go figure.

Looks like enough blame to go around on all sides. Stupidity and ignorance knows no color.

You have to understand the definition of a hate crime:
A hate crime is a crime committed by a member of a majority group against a member of minority group of the same group category, never the other way.
Group Category = {race, sex, sexual orientation, relegious belief..}
Group categories are hierarchical. If the top level group is itself a minority, then a hate crime charge will never apply. Example, a black hetro can never commit a hate crime against a black homo.
The group that is most likely to COMMIT a hate crime is the one that is most in the majority. The group that is most likely to be a VICTIM of a hate crime is the one that is most in the minority. An exception being 'sex crime' - which is always committed by a man upon a woman.
It thus follows from above that a white, heterosexual, Christian male is most likely to COMMIT ANY hate crime. And a black, lesbian, atheist female is most likely to be the VICTIM of ANY hate crime.
Well,my experiences in the South showed me that both groups contain more than their share of troublemakers and agitators.
I recall some nasty incidents on busses in New Orleans where groups of black kids attacked any whites venturing toward the back of the bus.
Then again,my white “brethren”acted rather nastily also back in 1979 in nearby Metarie when they mobbed the dozen or so of us who were picketing a KKK rally and threw garbage at us while calling us”n***** lovers”among the more printable quotes.
I’ve always been a racial pessimist. It would be great if everyone were civil, but human nature rears its ugly head all too often.

Scared white people get no respect.I had a friend who got challenged by some black thug his first week at school in Oakland.This was back in 1966.The white kid fought hard but still got his ass whipped.
From then on the other black kids left him alone.AND he and the original antagonist actually became friends later.
Yeah,I feel ya.Its in my nature to be a pessimist also.
Yet I have seen so many really strange paradoxes on the racial fault lines.There is this one school in my home town that has lots of tensions betwen blacks and Asians.One group of Asians came into a class I was subbing in and beat the living crap out of this black kid.
During the next class,everything was mellow.No drama at all.One black boy was all entangled up in this foxy Laotian chick.No one even seemed to notice.
Regarding the white couple killed in TN by the group of black ‘friends’, the authorities sure didn’t take long to determine that wasn’t a hate crime, did they?
Seems to me like getting a hate crime classification means the victim has to be a minority or homosexual.
