I know what the owner of this site and people on this site think. Whether they accept it or not, homosexuals live and exist.

I don’t call people “queers” or other such words nor do I engage in conversation with people who do so lets just call it to a halt. I know what you think, you know what I think.

It is obvious what [sexual commitment] means;...My point is, the praise they received for their "long-term commitment" seems to be tied to the fact that they have sex together.

Thank you for providing more detail, but I don't see that as obvious at all.

...we aren't talking about long-term friendships.

So, are you saying that Mary Cheney and her partner aren't friends? Bob and Elizabeth Dole don't have children, but Bob does ads for pills that enable sex. Why are they together? Sexual commitment?

Seriously, I'm not following this at all.

"Judge not" is only biblical phrase the libs know. They find it so useful.

I attempt to live it.

While I believe some things are against God and God's Nature, I also believe in civility and the birth of a child is not the moment to attack the circumstances of the birth especially if the child is the grandchild of our esteemed VP.

Conservatives can do better than this. DU and many others read this and say, "Aha, those hateful Republicans...!"

Well, historically it has been our, that is , society ‘s business to know,or at least presume, that the male generally known as “husband” planted the seed.It was also generally expected that said “planter” would provide food, shelter, clothing, and training in the ways of the world and laws of the tribe.Wrongs are not made right simply by their number, unless you are one of those who says the voice of the mob is the voice of God.

I do. By not answering my questions you answered my questions.

nor do I engage in conversation with people who do so lets just call it to a halt.

Fine by me.

Romans 1:26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,

Paul is referring to women having sex with animals and/or sex as prostitutes in pagan temples. There's nothing in the original text suggesting he meant anything more. Paul spent most of his life as a Pharisee, and was well-versed in Jewish law — which does not say anything whatsoever about lesbians.

I certainly don't think that you are qualified to put words in Paul's mouth.

It is abuse, period, to knowingly and willingly raise a child without a father.

Hypothetical: A single woman adopts, from a Russian orphanage, a male 3-year-old confined to a wheelchair by spina bifida and raises him as her son.

That's abuse?

This is just wrong to do to a child. IMO

IMO also.

More than in YO or IMO.

Homosexual behavior is an objective perversion.

Hence, our law is allowing this child to raised by sexual perverts, and one the daughter of our 2nd in command.

This is a great shame to the United States of America. Any one of our Founding Fathers, deist or not, would be rolling in their graves.

We're still one nation under God, so we should tremble.

The Vice President looks tense, uncomfortable in the first photo. IMHO, the Vice President looks airbrushed in the second photo, which is a posed photo taken in a studio and shouldn't be compared with a candid.

How’d you like to live next door to some of the folks on this thread? They’d be out at dawn measuring your lawn with a micrometer and gossiping about the pitiful state of your trash cans . . . .

I'll just repeat your comment to the lawn-measurers who are ignoring my last comment on this thread.

What you seem to want is one-way speech unless the replies are all positive and in agreement with your own perspective.

Geesh, it’s the birth of a kid. Good manners dictate that if you can’t say something nice about a kid being born, then don’t say anything. Do you know how many cribs I’ve looked into and saw the ugliest danged babies and said “oh, what a cute kid!”

I sorta liked your fatwa comment. Reading this thread, against my better judgement, I kept waiting for the fatwa.

I liked your alcohol comment, and not simply because I’m drinking at the moment. :)

what?

I keep thinking of old wisdom,,like “mind your own business”, “sometimes saying nothing is best”, “if you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones” or “let him who is without sin throw the first stone”, “ free speech is not about being rude”.

I have seen babies born into all kinds of situations, some quite horrible. The only redeeming thing sometimes is that people love them no matter what they think of their birth situation.

And loving a baby means being kind to his Mother, his family and being happy for his birth. And ignoring what doesn’t suit you. And letting God sort it out.

I saw the pics of the vice president & wife. Something is wrong. The Cheney's are wonderful people BUT this can NOT be viewed as that happy of event.

They are Christians, why wouldn't they be happy that another child came into the world?

While I may disagree with Dick Cheney and his approval of homosexual marriage, I don't think it matters in regards to loving your grandchild - that's something I fully agree with him on.

Man, my first baby was the ugliest varmint known to man according to all who admitted it. I thought she was gorgeous but later, on looking at the pics, I had to agree with the general fear that she would never land a husband. She did. And her babies were quite lovely.

Can you imagine having Dick Cheney as your grandfather? I hope he lives long enough to be the best blessing a child could have.

purposefully depriving a child of his father.
How sad for this boy to grow up without a father.
