Why is acceptance of this child so disturbing to you?

This child did nothing wrong. So you don’t like the circumstances of his birth? Well, are the only children you accept as valuable those of your particular persuasion?

What would you have people do on knowing of the birth of a child? Bemoan his very existance?

The photograph(s) are exactly the same as those issued for the last 2 grand children born whilst he was VP. It is an official White House photo.

So would you recommend abortion rather than bringing a child into the world without a father.

Children are born daily without fathers,,,war, accidents, suicides, rapes, desertion. Are they the product of self centeredness and selfishness?

This child will be loved and cared for.

And if she doesn't attain guilt but raises the child to be a fine upstanding individual, what then? Stoning?

It is impossible to raise a child to be a fine upstanding individual if you do not impart to him a moral conscience. That's where we differ. I'm on the side of George Washington: "[A] good moral character is the first essential in a man... and your conduct here may stamp your character through life. It is therefore highly important that you should endeavor not only to be learned but virtuous."

As for your "what then" question, then you do what you can to be sure others do not repeat her mistake. You do this first of all by standing on the side of teaching good morals to children. They have to be instructed in the difference between right and wrong.

This child did nothing wrong.

I suspect him of leaving my fridge door open and turning the ice cream melty.

You said:
“They’ve been together for 16 years.”

Let’s clarify this matter:

Mary Cheney and Heather Poe are just two people who happen to live together, according to the Virginia laws which do not recognize anything about their relationship.

Mary Cheney, a single lesbian, chose to use artificial insemination to become pregnant in Virginia.

You say they have been together for 16 years.

Mary Cheney is 37. I doubt that Mary and Heather Poe have been living together for 16 years. They may have started their lesbian relationship 16 years ago (when Mary was 21 and Heather was 30), but that doesn’t mean they have been “together” for 16 years.

When one says two people have been together for x number of years, you are saying they have been exclusive and not changed partners.

So, Mary Cheney was 21 years old when she was introduced to lesbianism by a 30-year old Heather Poe. I find it very difficult to believe that Mary didn’t experiment and have relationships with others during the 16 years since her first lesbian experience.

That’s one difference between hetro and homo relationships. Hetros usually count their time together based loosely around their marriage date.

Lesbians and homos should not be able to counting their time “together” from when they first “did” each other.

Your saying they’ve been together since Mary was 21 — the same old liberal lies and decent — trying to be something they are not.

I agree that was total projection on behalf of the poster. As always the VP looks proud when with any member of his family includomg Mary.

I lament the future emotional health of the child, but past that I really don’t give a crap about Mary Cheney or anything the WaPo says about her.

I understood it, Jake, and it’s a darn shame that it’s used as a blanket protection for some of the most heinous comments I’ve ever seen...

No, I am wondering why you should take the occasion of the birth of a child to impose your version of the morality of the event on me. I would gather that my Roman Catholic priest would be overjoyed.

She should have experienced her guilt prior to giving birth so she could have legally aborted the child...........That would have made you happier, no?

I am ignoring your theatrics and trying to answer the best I can. Her guilt should have stopped her from imposing this life on a child. Once pregnant, she of course could still stop being a homosexual. Why should the child die just so she can have more orgasms in a homosexual relationship? But if she felt too addicted to her immorality to give it up for the good of the child then she could always give the child up for adoption to a good family. That would be extremely loving and kind to the child.

As we watch these issues of life follow the spiral down to the Inferno, is it not clear that only the Catholic Church is right in every instance?

Given the aid and comfort that American Catholicism has given to homosexuals over the past 40 years, perhaps a different line of argument would be in order.

In her book Mary Cheney admits to crashing a family car due to being upset over the ending of a lesbian relationship whilst a teenager living at home. That is when she told her parents so Heather did not “introduce” to this lifestyle as you are inferring.

It is quite likely she has been in an exclusive relationship since she was about 21. Based on her book I would think they have been living together for about 12 - 14 years.

I don’t know about Mary Cheney, but you are not a loving man. You would wish on Mary Cheney terrible guilt, giving up a person she loved and giving a child away, a child.

You are cruel and mean. Enjoy feeling moral because you do not know love or kindness.
