This is the complete Yahoo Sports story that I tacked on to the other thread. It is a much better representation of the altercation and the punishment. It shows that Joe is truly different.

Does the article mention his salary?

This is a great story. I’m certain that the chatterboxes in the sports side of the MSM will whine about it in some for, but this is one reason why I always like Paterno.

Joe Paterno is a man of integrity and high moral character, he just installed that in some of those young men, what a great leader.

Sounds like boot camp to me. One guy screws up, the whole company pays.....to instill teamwork and togetherness.

It is rarely public, rarely embarrassing and never, at least to my knowledge, a blanket shot across the entire team, a true call for leadership and shared values.

He's telling the young men that they need to stand against stupidity from their teammates because it reflects on ALL of them.

Way to go, Joe!

My brother and sister in law are both Penn State grades for both Bachelor and Masters. I guess they picked a good school...not quite as good as mine (FSU), but it will do.

“A job usually left for others now will be done by Penn State’s multimillion-dollar football team. “

I thought that college football wasn’t about the money but the athletes getting an education.
