ARLINGTON, VA – The United Republicans of California (UROC) have unanimously endorsed Congressman Ron Paul for president of the United States. UROC, formed in 1963 to support Barry Goldwater, represents the traditional conservative wing of the California Republican Party.
“The unanimous endorsement from the United Republicans of California proves what the campaign has been saying all along,” said campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “Ron Paul is the only true conservative and real Republican in the race.”
In their official statement endorsing Dr. Paul, UROC called him “the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital” and recognized that:
Ron Paul’s voting record demonstrates that he has voted against:
· raising taxes;
· unbalanced budgets;
· a federal restriction on gun ownership;
· raising congressional pay; or
· increasing the power of the executive branch.
His voting record demonstrates further that he voted against:
· the USA Patriot Act;
· regulating the Internet; and
· the war in Iraq.
Dr. Paul is the only candidate with a record that matches the UROC’s platform.
“Whether the issue is life, the Second Amendment, foreign policy, spending or taxes, Ron Paul is the only traditional conservative candidate,” continued Snyder. “Traditional conservatives across the country should support Ron Paul for president.”
So where is Barry Goldwater buried, and are there any dynamos nearby? His body should be spinning sufficiently to power a medium sized town.
I like Paul, too. But I am not an Iraq war zealot like many around here.
Problem is, there is no one running that reflects 100% of my views. Paul might come about the closest.
Perhaps we should start referring to him as “L Ron Paul”.
The fact that the announcement stresses that the endorsement is "unanimous" makes me suspect they are a small group. Normally, if a group gets beyond 10-20 people, *somebody's* going to be for somebody else. That, or they just lie about it like the unions do.
ha ha ha !!!! good one.
Or Rupaul.
LOL!
I don't know, this Ron Paul guy a little to flamboyant for my taste
ping
“California Republican? What is that?”
Good question, I moved to AZ last year!
UROC - Key California Republican group
Uh huh. Sure.
Ron Paul. Moron.
...is that you. or ron paul, or president bush???
Dr. Paul could come out and say "I'm taking the United States in a new direction," and clarify that it's away from the present globalist one, but does not fail to address the dangers present in our world.
I don't think letting Iran or North Korea, or Saudi Arabia for that matter, obtain nuclear weapons is reasonable. Yet he claims he doesn't want to police the world.
...peter pumkin, moron is which noun???
...pro ron paul or neg ron paul???
There are good things about Paul. I posted about Paul before anyone on this forum ever heard of him.
# 1 he’s too old to run for president. (over 70 is too old)
#2 He has never put forth any meaningful legislation that went anywhere.
#3 He’s the only candidate who has NO endorsements from his collegues in congress.
Juvenile.
Speculation
