Who the heck does he think we are? This jerk is the one lawyer NOT fired by Clinton (when he fired 93 others).

These border bots need this for their pompous childish rants.

understand there's *** some people who expect anything other than capital punishment is an amnesty. The ironic part? If they really believed we were at war, there would be "capital punishment" for, shall we say, "uninvited guests."
I really, really dislike this man.

Citizenship is for sale?
To: PghBaldy
Why not just sell citizenship at the border or ports of entry? That would simplify it enough for pro Illegal imigration idiots like Chertoff, Kennedy, McCain, Reid and GWB.

I respected Chertoff during the Whitewater hearings and was encouraged to see him named to this position.
However, I have begun to believe that not only must Bush appointees (save the Supremes) tout the Bush policy, they must do so while willingly opposing the American people and the extreme danger to our borders if we leave this system in place for one more day!!!

So the people who do NOT pay the fine will be deported. Right? We can count on that.

It’s sad. I always liked Chertoff, but this and his stupid defense of Ted Kennedy is more than enough to change my mind.

I’ve been saying since 2001 that the “new tone in Washington” meant it would be the government vs the people rather than the Republicans vs the Democrats.

Chertoff was a great prosecutor. What he is stating is the mantra of the Administration he serves.
Blame the man responsible for the statements, not the mouthpiece which frames them and that man is sitting in the White House.

You know, Wolf, first, I understand there's *** some people who expect anything other than capital punishment is an amnesty. Okay how about a compromise. Let's split the middle between captital punishment and $1000 fine. How about deportation?
To: PghBaldy
MICHAEL CHERTOFF, HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY: You know, Wolf, first, I understand there's *** some people who expect anything other than capital punishment is an amnesty. *** The reality is the proposal here requires people who came in illegally who want to stay to pay a penalty. Like a fine. That's a punishment. That's not an amnesty. Mr. Chertoff, there are some of us who believe that the promise of 1986 should be kept. One time amnesty, remember? Secure the border, remember? The K-Y ran out long ago.
