I don’t blame Rice, particularly. I have no way of knowing what is Admin policy or her own ideas.
I agree with you..
The only way you can undermine him as CIC is if you wear the uniform and violate the UCMJ provisions on verbally attacking superiors. The President is not the CIC of the country at large.
“He has watched Bushs back in the WOT like few others.”
Pity Bush doesn’t reciprocate. You know, by actually having our “back”. Amnesty is a far higher priority for him.
The Questions is...why? What would motivate the leadership to poke a stick in the eye of their supporters?
Answer: One only does that when there is a feeling that the voters’ support is no longer necessary, or to create a false conflict to create an highly motivated re-action among the supporters.
So, which is it? Do they no longer care if we support them, or are they trying to make us react against this conduct, since Bush and his administration are not here any longer after the next election anyway?
This far,I assume that they are already lined up to accept a Democrat as the new President, since it must be their turn again.
America, as taught in text books, has not existed for a long time when it comes to national offices. We may still be able to elect the “dog catcher,” but not much else.

Whether her ideas are her own or she just did what she was told, she destroyed any chance of being elected (not that she aspired to it; in fact, she said she didn’t.)
What if Clinton was in office post 9/11 & had an open boarder policy that punished Boarder Guards & other LE officers for interrupting smugglers & illegal foreign nationals from all over the world (mostly from Latin America) including terrorist’s & hardcore gang members? Would you still support this Bill no questions asked? Or would you see this piece of crap policy for what it is, An anti-American, pro-International Big business SPP driven Bill?
I consider Murtha, Pelosi and Reid as traitors for trying their damndest to bring about capitualtion to the terrorists. I consider conservatives actively trying to do the same thing in no better light.
So bitch away about what a failure the Amnesty proposal is. I like it far less than you do.
But trying to paint the fight against the islamo fascists as an abject failure is BS and shows a profound ignorance of the situation on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq and a profound ignorance of what some of our arab allies have done to help.
Yes. All that would be required to end her candidacy would be her words (the greatest legacy stuff) superimposed over what film footage there was on 9/11 (before Arafat threatened reporters) of cheering crowds in the “Territories”.
Yes, that is clear. You jumped in in an argument I was having with someone else claiming futility in the WOT. So I naturally assumed you were allied to his idiocy.
We aren’t. This amnesty deal is, however.
“So bitch away about what a failure the Amnesty proposal is. I like it far less than you do.”
I seriously doubt that. This amnesty bill shows just how little importance Bush considers the war.
“But trying to paint the fight against the islamo fascists as an abject failure is BS and shows a profound ignorance of the situation on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq and a profound ignorance of what some of our arab allies have done to help.”
The above shows a profound ignorance of the root of the problem. Have you read the Iraqi constitution? Do you not understand the Saudi Arabia’ government is BEHIND the “islamo fascists” (despite some internecine conflict)?
Oh, well. I don’t expect to convince one of the few supporters the President has left after his actions of the past year. I’ll just leave you with these words of wisdom:
“Although our great man at the head of the nation, has changed his course, I will not change mine. I would rather be politically dead than hypocritically immortalized...I shall insist upon it that I am still a Jackson man, but General Jackson is not; he has become a Van Buren man. “
-David Crockett.
Point to the post of mine wherein I said such a thing.
The flavor is cherry by the way ;)
I’m not sure what you mean. What does that mean?
Kool-aid drinkers on FR...nevermind...not implying you were.
The flavor of Kool-aid lonestar67 is drinking. ;)
You beat me by 7 seconds. ;)
That’s your idiocy to live with. If you cannot see the folly doing the dems dirty work, in a fantasy that his immigration policy is a reason to abandon the WOT. Is a reason to pull things out your rear end to project failure to other conservatives. Tell that to the 150,000 Iraq troops fighting side by side with us. Tell that to the thousands of muslim spies we have recruited to break up terror cells. Tell that to Jordan, the UAE, Morrocco and a dozen other muslim countries that have been sharing intel with us and fighting AQ in their own back yards.
Likd I said you sound just like that idiot Wiener.
Hunter certainly supports the CIC. Moreso than most folks in Washington, DESPITE the ridiculous proposal on Amnesty.
You jumped into an argument that I was having with another freeper. That other freeper was claiming and still is claiming a failure in the WOT. That other freeper is micheal weiner-esque.
When are you going to wake up and realized “Hegelian dialectic” is alive and well in America!

What a logical, sane and brilliant idea!
