Uh, and that won't follow them, if there are enough of them?
Read Post 52 before continuing. Try responding to that.
There are Spanish radio stations in Tucson
I know. Want to know how many there were in 1970? One. That's it. One. How do I know? Was born there in the 50's and raised there. I remember the first sign in Spanish in Tucson that I saw: in 1976.
You're a newcomer, and you see it as it is now. You have no idea what it was. Or what was considered ordinary. The Mexican population of Tucson in 1960 was under 10%. And had been that way since the 1850's. Know why? Because Mexico, and the Mexicans, never got much north of La Frontera. And the few that did were irrelevant. Think California Bear Flag Rebellion on that one.
It's a popular misconception of Easterners to think that the Southwest "has always been Mexican", and maybe you're one of them. It wasn't. It was populated by the Americans, mainly from the midwest (ever wonder who rode the railroads west? Or why they built them?).
The only reason you are seeing "assimiliation" or some cheap facsimile of it in Tucson is precisely because of what I said: there are still more Americans there. For now. That area is targeted by the Mexican government, so expect more. Soon.
And it's because of Sob Sisters like you that this crap is happening. You vote for weakness because you believe in accomodation. It's a female thing, right? Pobrecitos and all that. What you are doing is bringing in the support structure for Mexican corruption and criminality, which is what that country and culture are about. Hey, I'm from Tucson, ya know? We all know about Nogales and Sonora.
BTW, howdja like that big gun battle in Cananea the other day? Fun huh? Coming to a suburb near you. Don't believe me? Drive out Ajo Way to Three Points in the early morning hours and check out who's on the road with you. Suggestion: take a gun.
Think I'm being a little harsh? Wrong. Even Tucson used to be a relatively crime free town. Not anymore. Los Inmigrantes bring their country with them. Last year my own father was taken hostage in his home and terrorized for hours by your 'assimilados'. Since I was already hard line on this, you can't say that it radicalized me. It just confirmed what I knew: Mexico is uncivilized and has been for 5 centuries, and it isn't going to change. And because of the MASSIVE influx from there due to their overpopulation relative to their economy, the place that will change is AMERICA, and not MEXICO. Even Tucson is a far more Mexican place now then when I grew up...or even from when my Mother lived there in the '40s. Can you say that Hermosillo, or Guaymas, or Obregon, or Culiacan, or Los Mochis are "more American"?
So your "they'll assimilate" bleating is nonsense. As soon as they have a critical mass...no sale. They stay Mexican. After all, it's their land, right? The Pope gave it to them in 1495. The gabachos stole it in 1846. Just ask them. And if you're a Guera Gringa, don't expect the truth.
Absolutely right.

The religion of Liberalism/Marxism is preached continuously in our government K-12 madrasses, and our colleges and universities. If Americans were sane they would immediately remove ALL state and private financing of these madrasses.
Liberalism/Marxism is a **religion** with religious, political, and cultural NON-nuetral consequences for our nation. Our government K-12 and college and university madrasses are of far more danger to the long term survival as a nation than is the war in Iraq or the Islamofascist threat.
It may sound overly simplistic, but actually all peoples stand to lose a vital part of their heritage and value structures, if the present madness is not arrested. That the American mainstream seems paralyzed and unwilling to fight the lunacy unfolding, is surely one of the great tragedies of human history.

It appears that Tuscon has more crime than Los Angeles.
Los Angeles and Tucson Comparative Crime Ratios per 100,000 people
See 65.
Maybe they’re leaving their particular area of LA and the crime that was prevalent there. One female I know left southern California after being carjacked TWICE. She is still paranoid as I would be.
But the fact remains, it appears there is more crime per 100,000 in Tucson than LA.
I was a little surprised too.
“That the American mainstream seems paralyzed and unwilling to fight the lunacy unfolding, is surely one of the great tragedies of human history.”
Well said! If we don’t take off the shackles of PC and the idea that Western Culture is not only worth saving but also why we will surely parish and so will the United States of America.
Immigrants have never completely assimilated.
It's a melting pot remember?
yes... but I found that picture and had to find a reason to post it... been kinda a boring day.
At work and must appear busy and concerned.
We have another friend whose leg was nearly blown off by a shotgun blast from his childhood on the streets of LA. He didn’t want his children to grow up in the ‘hood either. He has great kids. And he works hard. I think his family must have spoken Spanish when he was a child, but his children don’t know it any better than my children.
Because they don't have to.
Why won’t they assimilate? Why should they?
Great post.
BTW, I grew up in Jackson, MS. Ever been there? I wasn’t alive in 1960, and I can compare what it was like in 1980 to what it is like today. I don’t think there’s been a Mexican invasion either.
Senator Cornyn has an option on his web page to have it translated to spanish.....wonder why?

P.S. 24 started at 8:00 PM EST tonight.
Where will they come from if we don’t keep the flood gates open.
I really think this is the underlying reason for all the “conservative” leaders jumping on the bandwagon.
