Isn’t it a shame
We need to show more sympathy for these people.
They travel miles in the heat, they risk their lives crossing a border, they don’t get paid enough wages, they do jobs that others won’t do or are afraid to do, they live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language, they rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day every day.
I’m not talking about illegal Mexicans, I’m talking about our troops.
Doesn’t it seem strange that the Democrats are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don’t support our troops and are now threatening to de-fund them?
They won’t talk to me - asked my zip code then said they only take calls from his state!!
I'm boiling!
I wonder if we’ve already won this and everyone that was front and center is trying to retreat without reversing. Senators are the most vain creatures, you know.
Since 1970, the population of the US has increased by 100 million; since 1990; by 53 million; and since 2000 by 20 million or the equivalent of our six largest cities. The Bureau of the Census projects that we will have 364 million by 2030 [an increase of 63 million people in the next 23 years or the equivalent of the current populaton of the UK] and over 400 million by 2050 with one-quarter of the population being Hispanic. The annual arrival of 1.5 million legal and illegal immigrants, coupled with 750,000 annual births to immigrant women, is the determinate factor or three-fourths of all U.S. population growth.
If the proposed bill passes legal immigration will increase threefold over the next decade, which will boost our population projections much higher.
Domenici, IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR AMERICA, and you are not good enough for New Mexico.
That’s because his phone lines have been BURNING for the last 4 days....NON STOP.
Well, Sen. Martinez, considering this fiasco bill, I’m sure many others could come up with a better bill.
If you can’t do the job you were elected to, Senator, maybe you could consider resigning.
This isn’t rocket science, Senator.
Enforce the border and 50% of the problem is solved. Remove the entitlements — free welfare, education, health care — and the problem is 90% resolved.
Wallah! Senator. Now all you have to worry about is the 10%.
I’m glad you asked Mel.
Border wall, no catch and release and full SW prisons... deport them, hit the employers, change the anchor provision, stop additional aid to Mexico and charge them what we pay for their citizens. More ICE, I want to know if Ahmed or Natasha missed two days at school, know why and pull their visa. Tourist visa expires... if it’s not ICE’s fault, bye.
I have read that the border guards our now stationed several miles away from the border for some reason, so I doubt that there is much that can be done from there.
Domenici crying about how hard it is to write this legislation. Boo Hoo.
“Look at it with no pre conceived ideas”.
Like those of a secure border I guess.
I made a small edit to show their real intentions. I boiled over a while ago. They are all traitors.
Domenici: “We’re the government...trust us...”
Sorry...not buying.....not ...any...more....
Domenici admiting previous laws were not enforced - why are we to believe the new laws will be enforced?
Senator Domenici says nothing implemented until border is secured.
Sorry I’m not convinced yet...
Hope so, but this is like a game of Wack a Mole.
You got a keep an eye on these rats, there always popping up somewhere with a new way to threaten the American way.
Domenici is either demented or a lying SOM “Nothing happens until the border is secure”. Lie.
When are they voting?
And the worst kind...smiling, lying, backstabbing traitors.
Let’s all email Mel. The reason Bush and Co. wanted Martinez instead of Kathleen Harris, whom they owed bigtime, was so he could carry water on this issue. He has been open borders forever.
Pete has to be kidding...
I lived in NM.
He believes the border enforcement lie. Excuse me, we heard that in 65 and 86... never happened.
Single bill, amen. But sorry Pete... it says the process rolls on regardless... you missed the lede. That’s a lie.
Yes, Pete... you had to put that date in there... but you’re still BSing.
