Monday, 1:00 p.m.: Convene and resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S. 1348, the Comprehensive Immigration Legislation.
Oh, now, actually YOU may be right. Someone speak up who knows how many votes are required for passage.
Let me just say, too, that I cannot fathom this legislation getting even 50 votes. Really. So much of the country is against it that I just don’t see how any senator except for those in super safe seats like Kennedy can survive the vote. I can’t imagine any senators running for president will support it. I just can’t see this bill surviving light being shed on what’s in it.
The negative cost in numbers for legalizing Illegals are staggering.
2.3 TRILLION is a net loss to the US treasury over the lifetime of just 12.5 million receiving amnesty.
Jim and Jeff are emphasizing respect for our law and not rewarding law breakers by making them legal.

Herndon!
Herndon!
Herndon!
Herndon!
Herndon!
Comprende Herndon, Senores?
In ref to that- read # 140
Keep it simple. I don’t know what you’re talking about.
I’ve had it.
This is a full-scale surrender of our national sovereignty.
This is from the Whitehouse.

1. MYTH: This is amnesty.
FACT: Amnesty is the forgiveness of an offense without penalty. This proposal is not amnesty because illegal workers must acknowledge that they broke the law, pay a $1,000 fine, and undergo criminal background checks to obtain a Z visa granting temporary legal status.
FACT: To apply for a green card at a date years into the future, Z visa workers must wait in line behind those who applied lawfully, pay an additional $4,000 fine, complete accelerated English requirements, leave the U.S. and file their application in their home country, and demonstrate merit based on the skills and attributes they will bring to the United States.
FACT: Workers approved for Z visas will be given a temporary legal status, but they will not enjoy the full privileges of citizens or Legal Permanent Residents, such as welfare benefits and the ability to sponsor relatives abroad as immigrants.
When our own government higher ups went after the BP's that should have been a warning sign. It is unconscionable how they have been treated. I can't say how I really feel about the leaders in DC because I would get banned. I feel I have a sense of the utter injustice and evil our Founders faced and the passions that drove them to fight for Liberty and self-government. Our truly believe our government purposely pushing us into a Socialist hell. We must let not let up in fight to defeat this abomination.
We no longer need a fence, we need an impregnable wall
Very simple, you will remember once I say:
In Herndon, Va, the city council and mayor voted to spend millions of the local taxpayers money to put up a center for illegals to meet at from which they could be contacted to do work.
The population united and voted every single one of them out and all new non-politicians took their place.
I am sure our puke leaders will recognize the name when presented with it.
Make those calls friend. CALL. Keep your composure. Speak as intelligently as a Rhodes scholar.
I did and I am ill!
This is political spin from the WH, not fact. It is amnesty.
Yep..I know.
My son just called me- just spent 20 minsutes on the phone with a staffer at Bill Nelson’s office (Florida). Here’s what’s intersting. When I called his office on Friday, his staffer told me the senator is favorably disposed toward comprehensive immigration reform..looking forward to having this bill come up..etc...etc.
TODAY- the staffer told my son the senator is concered about the bill and will only consider it if it doesn’t endanger our national security. A different tone I’d say..
I continue to urge folks to not only call elected officials, but to call party officials at EVERY level...local, state and national. Turn the heat up from the bottom.
Me, too.
I am beside myself.
“Ive had it.
This is a full-scale surrender of our national sovereignty.”
It is worse than that! It will destoy our way of life!!!!
White House and Kennedy and Reid: “This is not amnesty. Who ya gonna believe, me, or your lying eyes?”
On this issue the Whitehouse is wrong. It's all meaningless words. Some liberal judge will toss out any "onerous" sanctions. In other words, the WH and Congress are purposely trying deceive us.
We should be two walls. One along our Southern border and one around Washington - and seal them shut.
If we did that, then maybe once again, Happiness, Liberty and Justice for all may once again prevail in this great land. Our traitorous leaders in Washington seemed headstrong in destroying our Country.
