Images of Fetal Development

The following images were presented to Fr. Frank Pavone, at the time he was working at the Vatican, by a team of experts from Poland. The experts presented them also to Pope John Paul II.

Priests for Life is grateful to Professor Andrzej Skawina (Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University, Krakow) and Dr. Antoni Marsinek, MD (Czerwiakowski Gynecological and Obstetrics Hospital, Krakow) for making these images available, and to the Zrodlo Foundation, Wychowawca Department, for the permission to use them.

We encourage pro-life groups and individuals to use these images, keeping in mind the words that pollster Harrison Hickman spoke to the 1989 conference of the National Abortion Rights Action League, "Nothing has been as damaging to our cause as the advances in technology which have allowed pictures of the developing fetus, because people now talk about that fetus in much different terms than they did fifteen years ago. They talk about it as a human being, which is not something that I have an easy answer how to cure."

CAVEAT: I am a commercial real estate broker, writer, and businessman. I have no medical training and don't play a doctor on television. But I am pretty sure that I seeing a developing human baby here.

"Gad!! They couldn’t tell dead from alive?"

Dustbunny may have answered this. She was blue and not breathing. The hostital where she was born does not have the capibility to care for bebies born as early as Briana was. Everyone except ONE doctor, a pediatrician, didn't think it was worth the effort to try and revive her. My daughter was in hysterics, thinking she was looking at her dead child.

The pediatrician was the one who heard the squeak, insisted Briana was alive and worth saving, revived her and made sure she stayed alive until the ambulance could get there to take Briana to the NICU.

I pray for the Lord's blessing on that doctor frequently.

‘Stillborn’ baby comes alive [shocked her grieving parents when she started moving]

Kuala Lumpur - A baby girl declared stillborn by a Malaysian hospital shocked her grieving parents when she started moving as they prepared to bury her, a report said on Monday.

The father, Azmi Masiron, said he and other mourners in a village in northern Kedah state noticed a tiny movement from the baby as she lay on a funeral shroud, shortly after being declared dead on Sunday.

“When my father-in-law placed the baby on the burial shroud, she suddenly moved, shocking about 200 villagers who had gathered for the funeral,” Azmi was quoted saying by the New Straits Times.

The 26-year-old father said he had been informed by the doctor of his daughter’s death minutes after his wife, Nordewiyana Din, 28, delivered the baby prematurely.

The baby, who was wrapped in a cloth, had not moved during the five-kilometre ride from the hospital to his village for the funeral, Azmi said.

“I am really upset ... I hope this does not happen to another parent,” Azmi said, adding he would take his complaint about the hospital to police.

The baby, who only weighs 330g, was rushed back to hospital and has been placed in an incubator.

Appearing at yesterday’s rally, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) declared that judicial nominees should be given a sonogram test before being confirmed. “If we have a judicial applicant…who can look at a sonogram of an unborn child and not see the value of human life,” then “he will not receive a judicial appointment,” Hunter announced. “I tell you what you he will receive, he will get an appointment with an optometrist so he can get a pair of eye glasses.”

Oh no! I am so sorry. Father God, while Phoebe is with You, her mom is in deep sorrow. As our Heavenly Father who loves His children, Amanda, too, loves her child but it was taken from her. Please grant Amanda your supernatural peace and understanding. Send ministering angels to console this broken mother. We ask for peace, also, for her mom and all of Amanda’s family. All things are possible with You. We ask for twins to fill the void of her previous losses. Turn her sorrow into double joy. We ask in Jesus’ Name and believe in faith what we ask will be granted. We will not look at the natural circumstances but await your supernatural power and love to manifest Itself in Amanda’s life. We praise and thank You for hearing and answering our prayer.

The Buddhists count their age from the time of conception instead of the time when the person is delivered from the womb. Thus, you are almost a year old when you are delivered.

Yes, he sure did. She wore a size 6 mos. until she was 1 1/2 yrs. She looked like a little wind up toy when she ran around because she was so small. LOL - She is an imp. She is catching up.
