IF it makes you feel any better, the Federal government is doing a great job of protecting us from cheap prescription drugs from those evil Canadians.

I am not playing any games, and you should probably not invoke rationality as it is apparently not your strong suite. Again, strawmen, this article had nothing to do with US foods, it was about ChiComs and their transgressions. I never once even lightly suggested anything be banned, my point is that we should have a choice if we wish to buy those products or not, and if the products aren’t labeled as to origin, that choice is gone. No one gave me the right, I didn’t ask, the dollars I spend give me the right, it’s not a new concept at all. It is a reasonable expectation that a consumer have knowledge of what he/she is purchasing. This adds no bureaucracy, they have the time to add Chinese additives, they have time to pop it on the label. Thanks for the discussion, I am off to grow my own chickens before it goes to $15 lb. , apparently all the chickens left the US. You would think they would watch them better, heh.

No, those people killed their own pets by choosing the cheapest possible food for them. They deserve what they got and blaming the government is a sorry excuse for taking responsibility.

This country is also full of stupid pigs. Grow my own food, indeed

What is so stupid about that? Many of us have been growing a certain amount of our own food for quite sometime.

"do you think people who’s pets dropped dead look at the labels"

Reading the lable wouldn't have done any good. Most of the labels would have said made in America or Canada. The pet food was made here or in Canada with contaminated products the American companies imported from China. That part isn't on the label.

That’s why I fear we’ve been conditioned over time for socialized medicine etc.

The most common saying I heard growing up when someone did something annoying was: “(shrug) Well, it’s a free country!”

Now the most common response is “There oughtta be a law.”

Individual liberty is ok nowadays as long as it fits in the strict confines of the least common denominator of popular opinion.

Some of those products were the expensive stuff you have to buy from a veterinarian.

It’s expensive stuff because they bribe the vets to have them push it exclusively. A natural diet (like wellness diet I have been using for years) beats any “science diet” crap hands down.

Maybe instead of rejecting bad food, we should send boatloads of illegal aliens from our farms to help the Chinese improve their agricultural output. And ship the entire illegal family, so they don’t have to worry about being split up.

>>>Maybe while I’m on a break from the fields

You don't need fields to grow your own food.

Little Space? Grow Vegetables inside

>>>process my own fuel, too.

Actually, if you have space inthe backyard, you can. Still permits are available to private citizens to process ethanol. You can buy an older car and use ethanol. It works from grass clippings and garden debri.

The enemies of the USA should be paying the salaries of all “our? ;-)” government officials. They do serve them well.

Why not. This post suggests people have been conditioned for socialized food. Something is sadly working :(
