Don't worry about Iraq. We are surrendering to Mexico on Monday.
If the McCain/Kennedy immigration bill passes, we will have lost the Nation as we know it.
In 30 to 50 years, the descendents of the people who founded and built this country will be English-speaking aliens in their own land.
By surrendering on the legislation that will be voted on Monday 5/21 or Tuesday 5/22, the future of the United States will be turned over to the aliens in our midst.
Our liberal public benefits will selectively attract and support the most needy and reproductive segments of the Mexican population and our democratic political institutions will do the rest. It is not unreasonable to expect that within this century, the United States will effectively become an annex of Mexico.
The safeguards in the proposed legislation and the promises of the administration are worthless.
WE ARE FACING THIS CRISIS, NOT BECAUSE WE LACK THE PROPER LAWS, WE ARE FACING IT BECAUSE OUR REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT FAILED TO ENFORCE THE EXISTING LAWS. HIS LIKELY DEMOCRATIC SUCCESSOR WILL BE EVEN LESS INCLINED TO ENFORCE THEM.
PASSING MORE LAWS WILL SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
If the Federal sanctions on employers and restrictions on public benefits to non-citizens were enforced--even now--the illegal immigration problem would be vastly reduced.
Our illegal immigration problem exists because our elected leaders failed to carry out their sworn duties.
There is still a chance for a filibuster to derail the Senate vote. A filibuster could only be overcome with the votes of 9 or 10 Republican Senators.
According to Michelle Malkin's website, these Senators could be key (http://michellemalkin.com/archives/007554.htm
I WOULD URGE YOU TO CALL OR E-MAIL THEM:
TN Lamar Alexander: http://alexander.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=Contact.Offices
SC Lindsey Graham: http://www.senate.gov/~lgraham/index.cfm?mode=presspage&id=274615
KY Mitch McConnell: http://mcconnell.senate.gov/contact.cfm
Mitch McConnell is the Republican leader in the Senate. More than anyone, he can lead a filibuster against this piece of legislation. If you don't contact anyone else, leave a message or an e-mail with his office.
MS Thad Cochran: http://cochran.senate.gov/contact.htm
TX John Cornyn: http://cornyn.senate.gov/index.asp?f=contact&lid=1
AZ John Kyl: http://kyl.senate.gov/contact.cfm
So if your Senators are Democrats, like mine are unfortunately, pretend to be a moonbat and contact them. Tell them that this immigration bill will increase global warming or something ROFL
>>WE ARE FACING THIS CRISIS, NOT BECAUSE WE LACK THE PROPER LAWS, WE ARE FACING IT BECAUSE OUR REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT FAILED TO ENFORCE THE EXISTING LAWS...
PASSING MORE LAWS WILL SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.<<
I think this ought to read “PASSING MORE LAWS WILL NOT SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.”
I agree 100%.
Something else, media and democrats say republicans lost congress because of Iraq. NO THEY DID NOT, We lost because of the wishy washy, “can’t we all just get along” clap trap.
I remember calling and writing to the republican leaders and republican committee in California telling him that we were going to lose congress if our elected officials continued on this path.
Now with this bill we will lose the entire republican party, it will be a non entity like it was for the 40 years prior to 1994. If we end up with a democrat president which we most likely will, then we can pray like crazy for our country; then say hello to socialism.
Or to remove his head from his own ass.
Thanks. You are right. My brain slipped out of gear.

If this bill passes the GOP will lose Texas, Arizona, and Florida. I wish someone who's pushing this bill will tell us how a one party system is good for this country.
