I’ve given up on the whole illegal immigration issue. Other people can care about it. But I don’t anymore.

Nothing will ever fix it. Nothing.

Nothing could ever be good enough. Nothing.

And no... I do agree that this bill is total crap. It’s crafted to be almost good, but bad enough to manipulate Republicans to hate their party enough to give more power to democrats.

So, I guess it’s better that we just do nothing. If we do something, well, who cares? It just doesn’t matter. This bill will probably die in the house. So I guess that’s good. I just don’t care. Let’s just let illegals keep flooding in.

Heck... we’ll never perfectly track each and every one of them. We’ll never be able to perfectly track whatever movies that illegals are renting from blockbuster. Let’s just do nothing. Heck... the people working at blockbuster are probably illegal too.

Nothing is better than something. Lets do that. At least the bellyaching will be more sincere. In fact... actually ~fixing~ the illegal immigrant problem would a disaster... I mean... what would all these folks bellyache about then? Can’t have that. Give the people an issue to be ticked off about that they’ll never fix good enough. Problem solved. Keeps ‘em from actually ~doing~ anything meaningful. It’s like the worlds’ most perfect political power generator. Create an issue that ticks lots of people off, but can never be fixed good enough. It’s perfect.

We’re being manipulated and we love it.

I like Tony Snow, but he’s always been wrong on illegal immigration. He used to post on FR supporting it.

He's a globalist shill, shilling for a globalist administration. There are two Americas now: one for the traditionalists, and one for the New World Order.

It's that simple. Choose sides. I have.

I cannot read it all.

I admire Tony Snow probably more than any person in the media, but I am simply not buying into this BS, and I am uncomfortable with any sort of apologetics concerning the matter.

It is just wrong. Illegal is illegal, and redefining words does the Republican Party no good service.

this was my reply yesterday after the news my heart was torn than I heard Rush talk about GWB deep faith and good works and now I believe Bush was taken advantage of by Rove and that Bush was played upon his heart by traders around him!

***

“Enough of these two face Hegelian politicians!

As my stomach turns because our Troops are in limbo!

Think about it on the domestic scene Buch is always ready to play footies with opposition.

He never rid of the Clinton regime in the various US departments when he took office as did Clinton who striped all of our positive America first in those areas Bush left those anti-US in those offices!

GWB father GW embraced “One World Humanist Order”

Look at what we have today and lost.

We are to fight the war on Terroror when we lost our conservative members in the House and Senate

How convience for Bush he does not have to take the blame for what Reid and pelose are doing to hinder our Troops yet I see the hand writting on the wall

Good guy, Bad guy dance equals Hegelian dialectic marx”

I believe you are right. LOL Listen, if they can bring them in they send them right back out. All our money they are using for their own personal agendas, I would say, could be spent on processing them back out.

I agree. They ain’t going to monitor anything except how they get the illegals to illegally vote for them and work for them while it is costing legal Americans billions.

This is an Amnesty bill by McCain, Ted Kennedy and Democrats who control congress.

People and the libearal media blame the GOP and private businesses ( “The evil corporations”) for this and for everything else in the world while the socialist Democrats get a pass.

Corporations don’t benefit from this Amnesty bill . As soon as this bill is passed the illegals will demand union wages . so how does that help businesses? Wouldn’t business want cheap labor ( that is the smear against them)? why would businesses want to pay 30 million illegals $30 per hour when they become legal citizens and join unions? If businesses were the puppet masters then they would want to keep illegals illegal so that they can pay them lower wages and not have to give them healthcare etc.

Republicans don’t benefit from 30 million new Democrat voters either. I just don’t buy the conventional wisdom that most Republicans are gleefully jumping at the chance to slit their own throats and that of their party. It does make sense that almost every democrat is for Amnesty and they are.

This bill is the worst ever but the ones that should get the blame are the Democrats who control congress and McCain. The GOP was in control of congress for 12 years and they didn’t pass Amnesty for illegals.

I tend to agree with your post.

this is politics and I cannot understand why people are playing so ridiculously dumb on this.

This is absolutely more enforcement than the status quo.

How in the world can anyone on this list imagine that increasing democratic control of Congress would increase border enforcement?

The deranged lashing out at Bush really needs to stop.

I have said a million times that if Hunter wins in the primaries I will vote for him as President. I do not understand why people have to dump their loathing Bush hating here for absolutely no productive end. Work for Hunter or anyone else you think will get the issue done more to your liking.

Bush NEVER campaigned on this. Bush NEVER gave any indication of being strict on border enforcement. Complaining has pushed him further toward enforcement than he ever wanted to go but what can people really expect?

Please don’t tell me because I really don’t want to hear another fantastic story of how we will reasonably deport by next week all 20 million illegal aliens.

Every Republican who considers this a sell-out should, within the next week (the quicker the better) change his party affiliation from “Republican” to anything else

I’m not sure the WH and Congress really understand how much this bill is hated by the base. I mean from Savage (the nutter right) to Hewitt (the center right) no one likes it. You look at this thread as an example 98(?) relies and not one in favor of it...and we don’t even know what it really says yet.

Why buy the cow when the milk is free--they ain't gonna pay no grand or five grand or six grand, and they ain't gonna get no z card or x card or y card.

And they ain't gonna learn English or go back to Mexico.

They broke the law and Tony and Jorge are FINE with that.

Ramos and Compean are doing a dime, the drug runner is free to run drugs, the Mexicans are golden and if you gotta problem wit dat why Karl Rove says "you got a problem with brown people"--

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Everything for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

" hate to say this but what Tony is saying is a load of crap; talking out both sides of his mouth."

Tony Snowjob can bloviate with the best of them. That's why the President of the United States is paying him to his official 'spokesman'. You don't get that job if you can't talk out both sides of your mouth and through your nose all at the same time.
