Guest commentation on a radio talkshow last evening said that, once this gets approved, illegals automatically get legal status because their status becomes 'pending'. So they get de facto amnesty immediately while they await for their status to be officially legalized.

So basically, screw the people who’ve properly waited their turn to apply legally in favor of people who, for all intents and purposes, gleefully flashed a middle finger to Uncle Sam as they traipsed across the border. Nice.

Which means that the OTHER amnesty in the bill is amnesty for businesses and corporations that have hired illegals.
