"That is very true, and that is why I must exercise this power responsibly, not as a cheerleader," said Limbaugh, "which is why I'm not picking a name right now. I alone have the power to move the [Republican] base." Rush might have overplayed his hand. Conservatives constitute the base of the GOP. If Rush chooses Giuliani, the base will not follow him. If Rush chooses Giuliani, he needs to have his head examined.

I agree with what you say but what is Rush supposed to do about it? honestly?
I don't agree that the leftist riots in the streets have ever amounted to anything but drama. Republicans/conservatives are individualists who are too busy working too rush to the streets and cry foul every time their team takes a hit.
I'm a pragmatist- honestly, tell me what Rush should do here.

I don’t see Rush getting behind Rudy Giuliani, under any circumstances. Maybe Mitt Romney, Duncan Hunter(in the small chance he gains the nomination), Newt or Fred.

Paragraphs are your friends.
Agree with you on the immigration bomb sentiment.
Rush has NEVER purported that he has the power to predetermine the Republican nominee. If you told him that, he would laugh.

Pretty impressed with himself I see...He's an impressive guy. But not that impressive. Must be on drugs again. That's way over the top.

"Politics is perception, the perception of what he said is not good for him," Limbaugh said today. "You're not going to be able to clean it up." Correction: Rush's spin of what Paul said is not good for him.
Thanks for posting the article.

That drug crack sounds like something you’d read at DU, Moron.Org or HuffandBlo.

You must not have been listening. It was his typical tongue-in-cheekBut what is really amazing is how many don't get it. Anyway Ron Paul has no correct idea about anything in the middle east, which makes me think that he is not yet ready for prime time.

You have the power yourself to make him the Republican nominee," the caller responded. "That is very true, and that is why I must exercise this power responsibly, not as a cheerleader," said Limbaugh, "which is why I'm not picking a name right now. I alone have the power to move the [Republican] base." Rush made the comment very tongue in cheek as the called was trying to get him to endorse Ron Paul

Rushs views carry a lot of weight IMHO. As does Rush. But not as much as he used to--or even as much as Rosie O'Lardass or Uncle Teddy.
Cheers!

He's right. However, doing so is fraught with peril ... as Yawn Vanity will soon find out.
That said, if Rush came out for Duncan Hunter, he wouldn't lose a single listener...

your right, tongue in cheek all the way. viewed it live on the ditto cam yesterday. rush likes to have his fun once in a while doesn’t he?
To: redhead
Those who listen to Rush regularly and who are familiar with his style recognize his brand of satire. But he does love to tweak the pencil-lickers on the Left. Dittos, Rush! I listen and watch him on the dittocam every morning. And you are exactly right.
