Today the President met with the outgoing British Prime Minister Tony Blair and took part in a joint press availability with him at the White House.
He also attended a commissioning ceremony for Joint Reserve Officer Training Corps and made a statement on immigration reform.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice attended a reception at the British Embassy in Washington on the peace process in Northern Ireland.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
it’s an impossible thing to accomplish....i’d love to have a 50 foot electric fence along the whole boarder!!!!!!!
when have we ever done that???
IMHO as an outsider it would be impossible to do that
I’ll agree it’s a good start. And I’m scared, but I’ll ask what the previous solution for this was . . . and, I can’t resist, are you originally from Buffalo, NY?
I brought this fact up earlier on the Mark Levin thread, I’m from Western (Rochester) New York originally and get a little sick thinking about how much territory is up there that is just wide open space, including Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, etc. Everyone seems to think we work w/ Canada on these matters, but frankly, I think we have a ton of land up there that is entirely vacant.
Sorry, meant to include you on this one.
It could be done. Maybe slowly, but it could be done.
I don’t remember the exact details but it was in Eisenhower’s administration.
Aw, Snugs...it’s awfully good to see the Prime Minister and our president one more time together before Tony Blair is gone from office. I’ll miss him! How do you feel about the issue over there, Snugs? Do you care for the new PM?
Ugh! Teddy the Pervert!
***Please do not disrupt this thread there are plenty that you can make your point of view heard on apart from this one.***
I was on one of those threads. I’m convinced that 90 Percent of those people are shills from DU. Man, do they insult our president! I defended him and got four rude replies. S’okay with me. I didn’t bother answering them back. (Right hand over left shoulder, pat, pat, pat.)
I think my problem with exporting 12 million people is that we have been allowing them to break our laws. This is not a new problem, and given everything else President Bush has had to deal with on his watch, I think he has done his best to be fair and intelligent with this issue. Of course, I liked Duncan Hunter bringing up how slowly that wall is going up. Apparently President Bush was not aware of the slow progress. I would be surprised if he doesn’t take some additional action to speed things up. I’m still a Bushbot and I don’t care what anyone thinks about it!!!
i’m from the middle of the middle west....but we have a problem here with illegals. we live in a small town and in one year our crime rate went up 500%!!! then we had a influx of solmolians (sp) it went even higher. People couldn’t even let their kids out to play!!! Then they declared a jehad on the Cristians, they had SWORDS!!! Thankfully the beef plant closed!!! Most of the illegals left then, and since there is only the pork plant is left, most of our problems left too. BUT the people from the ‘deep south’ are very aware of the welfare we have! That makes me mad!
#7 is still there. What seemed to happen?
***i can understand that, but do they really think that we could kicked out 12 million people?????***
I understand it, too, Jewels. And I have yet to hear a cogent argument from the detractors about how to handle the problem. Most of them are here only to insult Dubya.
That turned out so well! Thank you!
Great series of pics of Pres. B. & P M Blair!
obviously in sync; Friends & Allies.
Yeah, it’s frustrating. I was shocked to drive through North Carolina last year. I went off I-95 for awhile through some small towns for a change of scenery and a shortcut. There were handwritten signs in Spanish everywhere! I couldn’t believe it.
There are an estimated 400,000 illegal immigrants in the DC metropolitan area and despite the liberal enclave, people are plenty mad about it.
Personally I think if the Labour Party want to replace their leader they should call a general election. Many people if they are not committed to a party after all vote according to who is the leader of the party and therefore will be PM not who is their local representative.
You won the T today! Congratulations,Meg.
