Being the Mayor of Gomorrah does not qualify one to be President..

"The GOP will fight the Hildebeast, they did pretty well fighting her husband. They will roll over and give Giuliani anything he wants."Meanwhile we loose the 2nd amendment and what remains of the 1st. No thanks. Even if the pres is a rino there is a good chance that no such legislation would get through congress, If the dems sweep, we're disarmed.

Rudy made it much less like Gomorrah. I believe that’s more presidential than anything Romney, let alone McCain, has ever done in politics. I do agree that being a mayor even of NY, and even a very successful one, is still a far cry from the presidency. But so is being a one-term governor of Massachusetts who didn’t fight the Dems that hard. And so is being a longtime senator (McCain) who has a lengthy record of helping out the Rats on major issues.

I doubt the Second Amendment will go, at least in the near future. But much else will.

Obviously you've never been to NYC or know nothing of Gomorrah.. Nothing has changed.. except a little less black on black crime..

I do not support Rudy’s liberal views, and I pray for a really good conservative candidate to win the nomination.
Rudy has done some things I liked-for example telling the rich Arab what to do with his check after 9/11.
I also doubt that being a Mayor-even of the Big Apple is sufficient experience to be a good president.
That said, if the choice is Hillary or Rudy I will go to the polls and vote for Rudy.

I have been there, two years ago, and remember how it was when I visited a few times in the Eighties. I’ve also read enough about NY to know that much has changed. Don’t make so many quick assumptions.

I think it’s a movie quote from “Blazing Saddles”.

“Elections have consequences”
No; I respectfully disagree. Ineptitude, moral cowardice, and straying from the base’s core beliefs have consequences. Elections are the results of those consequences.
Please stop blaming the base. Are we better off with democrats? Of course not, but the average voter saw republicans who wanted to be dem lite. They saw Mark Foley. The system worked exactly as planned. The slugs were sent packing. The trouble is that there is no viable THIRD choice.
The republican party needs to take a long hard look at itself. November, as sickening as it was should have acted as a clarion call. Too bad that republicans seem to be stone deaf. I don’t want to think about ‘08 if this continues.

I'm not blaming anybody but the a$$holes in congress. Of the two groups of a$$holes, I'll take the reps before I'll take the dems. Likewise the White House. The choice sucks and the winner is usually a jerk but the reps are marginally better than the dems.
Sad isn't it.

It is indeed. My grandmother used to say no matter how you serve it up; a sh*t sandwich is still sh*t. We need a better choice.

Dobson is a big-mouthed jerk.
Rudy is a dyed in the wool lib.
I wouldn’t take either of their policy pronouncements.

Will we learn after it is too late just what the former mayor really thinks?
Like we did with George Herbert Walker Bush and George W. Bush? Hopefully we've learned our lesson.

If Rudy Julie Annie does get the Gop nod, and Michael Bloomberg runs as an Independent (as he is planning) that would be the first time in history that there were three candidates for President in the same year, all from New York and all being Liberals.
I know; this is assuming that Hillary will get the Dem nod; that’s because she will.

Re your post 44, my goodness man, be honest and admit that you're a Rudybot. It's clear to the rest of us that that is what you are.
And I thought they were becoming extinct on FR, where they don't belong.
To: OldPossum
I’m not. Don’t lie and claim that you know who I am.
I’m undecided. May or may not support Rudy. Probably won’t. MY FAVORITE IS GINGRICH.
