"Left Lane Drivers Unite!" - LEFT LANE DRIVERS of AMERICA

LEFT LANE DRIVERS of AMERICA

“If you’re not a Left Lane Driver then get out of the Left Lane!”

Traffic has become increasingly congested and tempers flare as slower drivers occupy what has been historically referred to as the “fast lane”. It’s time to get that Left Lane back! It is our considered opinion that not only will traffic move more smoothly and more quickly once the Left Lane is used in the way it has been designed but also headaches, frustration, bad tempers and road rage will all be greatly reduced when this pressure valve is released. It’s time to reduce this unnecessary stress. It’s time that… LEFT LANE DRIVERS UNITE!

We invite you to join Left Lane Drivers of America, a growing, grassroots effort to reclaim the Left Lanes on our freeways and multiple lane highways. To do this, those of us who are genuine “Left Lane drivers” are politely but firmly reminding others what the Left Lane is for.

Ah, very nice convertible, in the proper colors. I went looking for one in that color scheme, but at the time I couldn’t find any. Silver and black is a distinct, but close, second to BRG/Tan, IMHO.

I'm typically at 15 mph+ and yes I would gladly move over, I like it when someone is driving much faster then I am because then I can get right back in the left lane after they zoom by and they will be the ones to flush out the cops.

Excellent. I do the same with the State Troopers and the local Cops when in town.

On the Highways the State Troopers will sometimes be going 5 MPH below the posted speed limit, and every driver that can see the patrol car will slow down to that speed. I have no issue passing the black and white as long as I am at the posted limit. It's nice because you usually have an empty highway once you pass the trooper.

In the city, the cops will always be going about 10mph sometimes 15mph above he posted limit. I tend to slot in behind them, at a reasonable distance and follow at the same speed. Hey, if they don't have the lights or siren on, they should also obey the posted speed limit. If they want to give me a ticket, they will have to explain to the judge why it's OK for them to speed when they are not on a call.

Doesn’t necessarily make it wrong, either. (See Prohibition.)

Basically, what it does boil down to is that if 85% of the people are violating a law, perhaps it is worthwhile to revisit why the law was passed in the first place, and perhaps decide whether the law needs to remain in place (see: California’s 85th Percentile Speed Law - one of the ONLY common-sense laws to come out of CA).

National sovereignty is another matter entirely.

Let me remind you faster than sense drivers that if you don't like the laws, there are ways to change them. You all think because you have a faster car that the traffic laws don't apply.I laugh when some supercharged idiot blows by me and I see him at the side of the road with a police car.

If you consistently break the traffic laws then you are just another selfish liberal.

What really angers me is the fast driving idiots that won't allow a slower vehicle to change lanes.Ever found yourself with cars blowing by both sides in total disregard of your signaling your intention to move over?

I wish for an automatic $1000 fine for anyone found driving on public roads with any of the so-called "lane discipline",MOVE RIGHT,MOVE OVER,etc. stickers, decals, or paint jobs.

The public roads aren't your private raceways;learn to follow the rules.I have just a little respect for aggresive drivers as for people who shove ahead in the ticket line or lunch counter.

Thank you. It is a history lesson that liberals and appeasers never seem to be able to grasp, unfortunately.

2003 was the last year of the camel top, a serious blunder if you ask me. As well, I don’t think you can get the cream interior in the XKs any more. What’s next? Will they do away with the burled walnut? Tsk tsk tsk.

I wish for a $5000 fine and instant car confiscation for anyone not following the “slower traffic move right” law we have here in Texas. Happy now?

P.S. - that’s actually *less* than the fine and penalty for “racing” in Texas.

The new car’s interior has a lot of aluminum and very little wood. It’s very disappointing.

It handles a little better than our cars, but the performance isn’t all that much better, really. And the new gearbox is problematic at best.

Finally, should you desire to run the car in the BBORR, the car has a *nasty* tendency to lift off the ground over 130mph. Yup, they screwed up the aero.

“The guy going 95 MPH is an obvious hazard and they look for that, but the guy doing 15 MPH under the limit in the left lane is every bit as dangerous.”

More so - the rabbit will slow down to avoid a bad situation, but the snail will NEVER speed up to avoid one if it’s necessary (think merging lanes).

LOL!

Why don't you just call us poopyheads and be done with it? What does disdain for traffic laws have to do with liberalism?

Ever found yourself with cars blowing by both sides in total disregard of your signaling your intention to move over?

If you're going that slow, what were you doing in the left lane in the first place? For that matter, what were you doing on the expressway?

Placing that sticker on your front windshield is a dumb idea.

Yeah, I've always found that a flashing blue light works a whole lot better.

My instantaneous fuel economy at 70 MPH on flat ground is around 35 MPG. At 55 it is around 26 MPG.

Your engine is optimized for 70mph. At 140, you will notice increased fuel consumption due to drag. By the way, just what do you think limits your speed? It is simple: AIR RESISTANCE. Once you reach a certain point, your car will not be able to go faster. This is entirely an issue of air drag, mechanical friction, and vibration. The horsepower of the engine simply cannot overcome these sources of friction. The thrust of your engine exactly matches the combined affect of drag and friction.

Jets go faster because they have much higher horsepower ratings, all to overcome air drag.

Physics is just the way things work.

Yeah, sure. Just the way the majority of Americans can affect the enforcement of immigration laws, or keep the BATF from making its own laws without consulting elected representatives.
