On Sunday the President celebrated America's 400th Anniversary in Jamestown.
Today the President discusses CAFE and Alternative Fuel Standards in the Rose Garden of the White House.
The Vice President continued his middle eastern trip over the weekend concluding today with a visit to Jordan. He also gave an interview to Bret Baier of Fox News.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Moscow.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
Here’s a fuzzy, but still great clip, of Pres. Bush conducting
the orchestra in Jamestown... so adorable... and the crowd LOVE it .. WOO HOO !!

I hope tht Liz is watching him closely.
And, like you, I am thankful that Liz wasn’t in Baghdad.
I just sweated out the VP being there!
THANKS . . . among other things, starting the 2008 election cycle this early is encouraging pols (on the left and right) to undermine President Bush and his troops at a critical time in Iraq/our global War on Terrorism!
Thanks for posting the video
Thanks, snugs .. I really appreciate the good thoughts and especially the prayers. I really need them. If I could kneel again (after both are hopefully done) that would be unbelievable. To just be able to walk up stairs and more than a block without horrible pain will be heaven. I’m supposed to be getting the new gender knee.
Thanks for the nice photos snugs. I had no idea....
And thanks for da’ dose!
Very nice - Thank you SW

THANKS for posting the awesome YouTube video of the President’s ‘maestro’ moment . . . It may be blurry but the audience reaction is priceless!!
LOL! That was a pretty big jump for a man his age when he left the podium. Ohhhh, I wish I had been there. The crowd OBVIOUSLY oved it.
thanks, Starwise.
Too cute! He amazes me at his sense of fun!

Prayers up for a successful surgery and a QUICK recovery!!
He is lucky to have a daughter who will tell it like it is!
She may save his life some day!
So from seeing her struggling to walk up the road with the dog to walking in excess of a mile made the pain and rehab worth while.
From what you say you will be getting as standard better follow up rehab. In Britain once you are discharged from hospital to home that is it. Some people who do not progress as fast as others go to a sort of half way house with rehab facilities but only rarely would you get any physio from the hospital after discharge.
Dad had private physio on his back so he got his physio to assist mum for a few weeks and give her some additional exercises.
Dad has the same physio visiting him on Thursday so no doubt she may also give him additional exercises for the hip but really that does not seem to be a problem his problems are his old back injury and the medial ligament in the knee.
Tell me the date again of your surgery, Star, so that I can say some special prayers for you that day.
Night all! . . . I’ve got to be on campus earlier than usual tomorrow.
Snugs....thanks for all the great pics.....how’s your Dad doing?
Wouldn’t it be cool to go traveling like that with your Dad? like Liz Cheney is.....I wonder if she is bring groomed for OTHER Responsibilities....
