Part of Movement of DNC to ELIMINATE the electoral College system - going on all over the country and winning in Dem controlled legislatures!

Evidently publicity about this pending vote in the NC Senate re: abolishing the Electoral College in NC forced the vote to not happen on May 10 - but was supposed to happen today, May 14.

Have been unable to find out if it did happen. Called local news program and they didn't know anything about it and saw no purpose in reporting about this issue - BEFORE THE VOTE.

Need to get the word out to NC Voters in order to encourage calls to NC Senate to their state Senators to vote this bill down. It's a "movement" around the country to do away with the electoral college because of the past two elections.

SOOOO, the the people of NC are tired of having any voice at all in government I see.
Apparently they want Chicago, the Boston area, LA and about three other metropolitan areas to decide the election.

They might as well just set fire to the US Constitution, they are trashing it all the time. If they get rid of elec. college the big cities which all have strong majority of liberals will select all future presidents and the rest of the USA might as well not even vote. NYC, SF, LA, Etc will choose all the future presidents.

It's not "the people of NC" - it's the Democraps of NC who control the NC Legislature and the NC Governorship.

Most people in NC do not know this is particular outrage is going on. Hoping to spread the word.

You're exactly right! Yet when I tried to talk to a news organization today about this HUGE NEWS, they were not interested in it - until AFTER it has happened.

Got to get the word out NOW.

Right - the whole idea of the Electoral College was to prevent the states with the largest population from controlling who will become president ..... how would people like it if just California and New York determined who the president would be?

Can anyone explain to me why we need to get all in a dither about this? Should North Carolina, or any state, pass such a bill it would be unconstitutional according to Artiele II and the 12th Amendment of the Constitution.

The Federal Government cannot/will not allow any state to circumvent the Federal election process. That will take an amendment to the Constitution.

Yes, please do! Yes, well, I called my State Senator today - who is a Republican - who said this will likely pass - because the Dems have the majority and they can do pretty much whatever they choose to do.

However, I think if enough Voters called the DEM SENATORS objecting to this outrage, they would at the least continue to "postpone" the vote.

I don’t remember all of them now, but a few years back I researched it and there are about 6 or so metropolitan areas that have well over 50% of the population of the nation.

R U a lawyer? I wish I could believe you but the way things are going, I don’t trust the Dims or their manipulation of our system of government.

This has happened in Arkansas? I believe it has also happened in Maryland. And is under consideration probably in all the legislatures because the Dems can’t win “legally” they must push for an illegal and unconstitutioinal way to win.

R U a lawyer?

No, but I'm not Chicken Little, either.

The Constitution governs the elections for President and Vice President. Read it. No state can pass a law challenging the voting process without it being unconstitutional. Period.
