Excerpt -

DUBAI (AFP) - Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is still alive but keeping a low is still alive but keeping a low profile, notorious Afghan warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar said in a video released on Arab television.

"According to my information I think that Osama is still alive," Hekmatyar said in the video broadcast by Al-Arabiya television late Sunday.

He said Bin Laden, wanted by the United States over the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York and Washington, would be better off "not multiplying his appearances in the media or in publishing statements and videos."

Hekmatyar earlier this year claimed that his men had helped Bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, to escape US special forces searching for him in the eastern Afghan mountains at the start of 2002.

The more they assert that he is alive, the more it is worth considering he may be dead.

Which might be just what they want us to think. They are insisting he is alive because they want us to think he is dead !

Or, do they insist he is alive because they realize we will see this as the attempt you describe, to make us believe he is dead, knowing we will then think he is alive, while he is actually dead?

When I wrote my response I pretty much knew what your's was going to be. This is an indeterminate. They cannot convince us of one without making us believe the other. The only solution therefore is to convince us he is both alive AND dead, like Schrodinger's cat

We have more important things to worry about than Bin Laden. Just ask the morons who run our intelligence agencies.

"In a letter written last week to the House Intelligence Committee, Michael McConnell, director of national intelligence, said it was "entirely appropriate" that the intelligence community prepare an assessment of the "geopolitical and security implications of global climate change."

The longer we consider OBL alive, the more US and NATO grease money is available for Hekmatyar’s power structure.
